glitchinq 0 Posted July 19, 2013 Report Share Posted July 19, 2013 so im getting everything all ready and the only thing i cant seem to get right is putting the upper handguard on my gastube. this is the stock set i got http://centerfiresystems.com/stkaka-bul.aspx and the gas tube i got was labeled AKM AKMS gas tube. the upper handguard just wont go into place. hdskumm 39 Posted July 19, 2013 Report Share Posted July 19, 2013 I had to round the edges of my hand guard with a file where it makes contact with the gas tube, and lube the crap out of it. Then put the hand guard in a vise (wrap it with something so it doesn't mar) and rotate the gas tube with a wrench. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

semper299 284 Posted July 20, 2013 Report Share Posted July 20, 2013 Yeah, just keep twisting. I used a wrench to torque the gas tube and a grip mat to twist the handguard. I also had to rest a few times. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
