Lone Eagle 839
I thought this was another Chris Christie thread. Problem is, if the dropped Christie on a city, it would just leave a shit stain.
Ronin38 2,117
It would still have bad, long-term health effects!
Rhodes1968 1,638
Although it gets lost in the retelling it was the Fat Man that ended the war not the Little Boy. The Japanese high command assured the Emperor not enough U-235 existed in the world to make another atomic bomb. They were correct but the direction of atomic warfare had already changed to Plutonium. On the second explosion they knew the gig was up.
DLT 1,646
I find it very fascinating that they were able to construct such a device in the first place. Today's kids have the whole world of info at their fingertips and are total idiots. Those men back then only had pen, paper, rulers, and ideas. Yet that generation achieved wonders. What have today's kids done? Our schools have been dumbed down so all kids can pass, or worse yet, only produce football players. Innovation and creativity have been replaced with sensitivity training and teaching kids that their rights are a bad thing that they should be willing to give up to feel safe.
