xICEMANx 13
Hey guys what's going on. I haven't been active on the forum for a while now. I built a Saiga 12 and got it running 100% then had to sell it due to some medical bills. I've been wanting to check out the MKA1919 for a long time and decided it would be my next project gun. I've been lurking in the forum reading alot and am excited for this bad boy to arrive and start the break in period! I bought some 1350FPS loads will that work good for break in? It's faster than some of the buckshot I have on hand. Are there any essential parts I need to order right away besides more mags? Just a few questions. I feel confident with the help of this forum I can get this gun to run the cheap birdshot just as good as my S12 did!
yamadog35 28
ICE: look at this thread I started a little while back discussing one of my first break in sessions with a completely factory gun. I list the ammo I used and the various issues I had. Some explanations were offered. Mine has gotten much more reliable on birdshot loads over time. If I stick with at least 1-1/8oz loads and 1200fps+, I don't have many problems at all. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/90147-help-me-diagnose-issues-with-my-new-gun/&do=findComment&comment=927398

Sounds like the shells I got should work just fine to break it in. I figure once I break it in I'll spend the money on the stock adapter, handguard, etc.
ShadowFire 220
Welcome aboard. I think you might find the MKA-1919XN is very addicting. I'm currently shooting the shit out of mine with PMC "High Velocity" 2 3/4 00 buck and did dump successfully some 2 3/4 00 Winchester Super-X Seems like the big issue for break in is finding a load with enough lead in front of it to provide proper compression of the gas to cycle the action. Even with a S-12 that I had to fix, when it was still shitty before I fixed it, 00 never did let me down, cycled on one exposed port. lol And I was shooting Winchester Super-X 2 3/4 then too. Like he said 1-1/8 oz loads will probably be fine. Just have some fun with it, shoot the hell out of it.
