rockmup 12
So, I was threading a 11" barrel for a choke and got hung up. Needless to say, I bought the customer a new barrel. BUT……what to do with the old one ? Build a rifled barrel. I cut the gas block off and found that the hood is threaded on. I bought a rifled 12G barrel from Numrich and this is where I ended up. Going to shoot it Monday but I'm sure it will work just fine. CHARLES DALY barrels are made in Turkey and some have the same size hood. The problem will be sourcing the gas block
AR-12 Shotgun 16
Looks good. Keep us posted. I've never shot sabot rounds. How big is the advantage?

SHOTGUN MESIAH 855
I have been hot and heavy for a rifled barrel for the MKA from the start. Does anyone know if it is possible to make a stock MKA barrel into a rifled one? I was talking to someone about it and they told me there would not be enough meat to put a rifleing twist inside a stock barrel. Any thoughts on this??? rockmup 12
Stock barrel is way too thin. In fact, the XN's are smaller at the gas block and larger at the muzzle. Any time you see win chokes it almost always because of the wall thickness.
wskteo 1
I am very interested in how this turn out. If you could fashion a drop and play rifled barrel I would be interested in buying one. Please keep us updated. Thanks.

rockmup 12
Unless I can find a source for the hood this will be the only one. The gas block is an issue but could be made fairly easy, you can see how the cost keeps climbing. As far as the barrel goes, it works fantastic Edited January 24, 2014 by rockmup

SHOTGUN MESIAH 855
how much longer is that from the stock barrel
rockmup 12
how much longer is that from the stock barrel It is 20.25 " from the front of the upper. It is also a bigger OD so the fore end needs to be opened up.
