yakdung 2,926
A cool story. I also have been known to leave tips larger than the standard percentage. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/12/27/honoring-brother-last-wish-500-tips-on-cross-country-mission/?intcmp=latestnews
EthanM 514
That is cool. Yeah I like to tip well. Especially if they are good.
thebuns1 4,323
I always tip good, unless the service is crap. Im sorry, I cant reward someone for giving me shitty service. If the server is a bitch, or a dick, then his tip will suffer. If they go out of there way, but make mistakes, then its not a big deal, so long as they put forth an effort. This was a good read, and good for them for paying it forward.

I know how working with people like that is, and it can be tough.
Dad2142Dad 6,559
Great story, tip is totally dependent on tip as above. Shitty service = no tip or reduced amount
BpS12 512
My Mom worked for tips off and on as she raised me (Dad bailed by 11) and now I appreciate being tipped even on a $200+ bill. Shows people give a shit about what you do and how you do it. I usually leave above standard. More for better service, less or none for crappy.
Sim_Player 1,939
When I was 18, I tipped the waiter $20 on a $5 meal just to see the look on his face. It was worth every penny. It was Christmas Eve.... Edited December 28, 2013 by Sim_Player
