SHOTGUN MESIAH 855
Since the bolt has proven itself to be prone to fracture, I was wondering why you aftermarket parts guys don't make and sell a more robust version? Is it too complex of a piece to fabricate?
Goodwin 1
I still need a new one come on guys, getting a hold of the manufacturers is a pain in the ass! Edited February 11, 2014 by Goodwin
Brett248Vista 5
Nothing is too complex with the right CNC equipment. Marketable and Profitable may be another story. I guess the first question that should be asked.. How much would you be willing to pay for a CNC billet bolt?
SHOTGUN MESIAH 855
ALOT !
Goodwin 1
that all depends on if it is a reputable company or not that is eather known for selling or making good products. if its not or if its a no name than not as much.
james lambert 3,059
We are making a new bolt machined from cold drawn bar stock. It can only be used with our new carrier and drive block. It will not be available until fall,as all production is directed into the TAC-12a1 It looks like about $180 for bolt and carrier. USA made barrels will be here as well Jim
SHOTGUN MESIAH 855
Great news Jim, a couple of questions. 1. Will any of the barrels be rifled? 2. Will the bolt, carrier and drive block be compatible with a stock MKA XN ?
james lambert 3,059
Yes the bolt and carrier will work in an XN but as a pair We have a new drive block for the XN as well,as the stock ones break Its machined from 4140 bar stock and is a much stronger design. Jim PS no rifled barrels at this time.
