PanchoVilla 0
I love my Saiga 308, but that trigger pull is just not my style at all. Are there any conversions to a trigger more along the lines (in terms of the resistence offered) of, say, the mauser? Some slack and then as soon as you hit resistence the next pull you do is going to set that round going.
G O B 3,516
If converted, the trigger should be much improved. Tapco seems to get good reviews, and RSA adjustable gets great reviews but is $$$$$. If yours is NOT converted, like mine (love the woody) dissasemble the triggergroup. Look carefully at the mating surfaces. There is a parting line where the parts slide against each other. See where the parts are shiny from wear. CAREFULLY remove the rough flash at these points. Remove the ABSOLUTE minimum of metal to get a SMOOTH surface. You want to maintain a smooth arc with NO flat spots. Polish with a fine stone. Cold blue, lube with molly anti-sieze (the black stuff). This should give a smooth trigger with a slightly longish take-up, but a clean break. The stock .308 trigger swings up and back, like some old shotguns. It works well for me, but some can't seem to get used to it. G O B
