Tundra1 391
I purchased a 7 round Wilson Combat .45 ACP magazine for $20 shipped on Ebay. This is for a 1911. It was listed as "like new" no signs of use. It was not in any kind of packaging. I was looking at it when it arrived and there are absolutely no markings on it except on the plastic base bumper it said "Wilson Combat." Nothing was etched on the magazine at all. All of the mags I have for other pistols all say the caliber size at very least. This one has nothing. I would like to think that I got a true Wilson magazine but I have to wonder now. The seller also had numerous ones of this exact magazine listed just the same as mine: "like new" no signs of use. Can anyone tell me if the magazine should have any numbers or markings on it if it is a Wilson? I tried searching and mainly came up with information that said that counterfeit mags are out there. I honestly had no idea.
Jpanzer 1,265
I would bet the mag is a "no name" type with an after market Wilson Combat base pad. Every 1911 mag I own has the manufacturers name stamped on it somewhere....
storm6490 2,768
I have a few wilsons that are sterile on the steel and have the name on the base. No worries. It§s twenty bucks. Go use it and have fun.
