forsaken352 235
Some of you may recall a post I made the better part of a year ago where I had mentioned that the bolt carrier had cracked where the threads begin, and down to the dimple. Well, I've been thinking recently, it obviously needs fixed or replaced, but what about both? I could send it to Cobra's Custom to have him pin it, weld it, grind it, etc., but I wonder, would it not be smart to have a backup carrier just in case? So, my question is, do you guys think I should pick up an R&R bolt carrier, and when I finally get enough time, send my factory part to have it fixed as well? The R&R should be a drop in part, right? No fitting? That way, I figure, if something ever happens to the factory carrier again, I would already have something to keep it running. Good idea? Bad? Thoughts? forsaken352 235
One more quick question. The R&R bolt carrier IS a drop in part, correct? Shouldn't affect headspacing, right?
evlblkwpnz 3,418
No, it will not effect headspace.
