TPPJR 0
Assuming the protrusion on the left is the ejector it doesn't stick up far enough to come in contact with the shell casing to eject it. Is this a common problem? What is the cause and better yet, what is the fix? Thank you for any help, Thomas
G O B 3,516
A GOOD gunsmith, or an aerospace /printing press orientated machinist can build it back with hard facing weld. This is beyond MOST welders pay grade.
TPPJR 0
So this is or isn't the ejector? Thing is it isn't broken, the top still has the paint on it from the factory. Just doesn't seem to be tall enough to do the job.
JonWienke 131
It's the ejector. If it isn't tall enough to engage the shell rim you'll need to have someone who really knows what they are doing make it taller via additive welding. It's an advanced-level welding skill, especially on something that small.
Lone Star Arms 2,047
Looks broken to me. A pic from a more oblique angle would be helpful.
evlblkwpnz 3,418
Not all that hard, just risky and it takes a little creative setup to make it easy. You definitely want to have someone do it who is used to welding fine, thin things.
TPPJR 0
Follow-up, I guess I was looking at it wrong while operating. It is working fine. I knew my problems could not be that easy. Thank you for the help, Thomas
