  1. is this conversion the same as the 7.62x39 or .223's? i found some tutorials and videos and wanted to make sure it was the same thing because im about to order a k-var stock, tapco saw grip, pistol grip nut, tapco g2 trigger assembly, a mounting plate for the saw grip to make it more stable.
  2. yeah looks good, let us know how it shoots
  3. That is how the conversion goes. The stocks are completely interchangeable. So i can just buy a regular AK stock? does it matter it wether there for a stamped or milled receiver? because some stocks state that in the description. Just making sure i get the right information before i go off and start modding the rifle.
  4. from what ive gathered putting the pistol grip is going to be a little project but not too much. I went through the tutorial for the conversion a couple times. Im still a little shaky about some parts. So basically you have to move the trigger group forward? to make room for the pistol grip and drill new holes for the pistol grip bolt/mount of the gun doesnt have the original military holes? or something like that? what about stocks are those a pretty much drop in case?
  5. yeah illl search around and see what info i can find.
  6. hey guys i decided that i want to go the tapco original AK style stock with the tapco saw grip. Now is this just a bolt on project or do i have to make some modifications. Im pretty new to the saiga world. Im a mechanic so i consider my self to be pretty handy with tools and fab. Just trying to see what is involved. Thanks guys
  7. thanks for the helpful replys guys, whats the farthest you can shoot your saiga with reasonable groups like 4-5" max? ive been curious about the max range of my saiga.
  8. anybody else have any insight?
  9. Hey guys, picked up my .308 saiga about a month or so ago. Looking for my optics options, im pretty much convinced the 8x42 posp sidemount scope is what im looking for. I picked up a dust cover weaver mount but ive hard bad things about it moving too much to be acceptable as a scope mount, the one i have has these set screws in it, feels very tight, i cant feel any play. But if its not going to hold a zero i dont even want to f' around with it ya know. Im about to order a posp scope but ive read there calibrated for 7.62x39 or 7.62x54. Would it be ok for our .308's? i know alot of users are u
  10. i got 20rd box of this barnell ammo for like 7$ a piece, got me like 6 of those, gotta love gun shows. yeah even some of the "bulk" ammo was a bit pricey for some pretty low quality rounds.
  11. here is my .308 saiga, pretty basic, ordered a new stock and decent scope.
