Shooting several disiplines, or resting up to shoot them, LOL
  1. If only time it's ever happened to you it's probably not a head space problem but I would have it checked. If excessive HS they will seperate but usually closer to the base. Cratering is a sign of excessive pressure as the post above noted.
  2. Only one local store where I'm at carry's them, and the .223 only in 16" priced at $349 or $399 for the 7.62 with the skeleton stock. I have the .223, have put about 1000 rds thru it, never a malfunction. Have put a skeleton stock on it to get the comb up for a Tasco Tru Point dot on a quick release mount. It will keep most shots in 2 to 21/2 inches at 100yds. I have AK's, Ar's, and SKS's and like my Saiga as well as any of them.
  3. Have shot several different brands in mine including WOLF, LC, American Eagle, Privi Partizan, and Federal TBT. It shot them all about the same, no coughs or stumbles and what I considered very good accuracy considering the trigger which in kindly terms is not exactly match grade I have shot more than a thou rounds through it and consider it highly reliable, in fact so much so that if I had to grab up one gun only for a SHTF situation it would probably be the Saiga over several AK's an AR and an SKS I could choose from. Was in a gun shop today and picked up an American made 30RD Pol
  4. Sent an E-mail to the Importer asking about the 10 rounder. They replied saying the magazines had arrived and would be in the hands of distributers by the end of this week. I ordered one tonight from Visit My Website $42.90 includes shipping
  5. WTB or need a source for a 10 rd mag for a GSG-5 Thanks for any help
  6. Shot 100 rounds of it last week in my Saiga .223, no problems. Shot Privi Partisan in it also which (I understand) is steel with a brass coating, no problems in the Saiga, was also shooting a Valmet M76 which coughed and spit a bit on the Privi.
  7. That is a great design, far superior to a set screw type, looks good on the rifle also. I use that "Phantom" break/f hider on a couple of my AK's.
  8. I think you are right about a vendor buy. I bought one about a month ago. Cost $339. I have arthritis in my right arm/hand and found the length/angle of the pistol grip was tough on my trigger finger and made for a hard pull. I also scoped it and wanted a higher comb, bought a skeletonized stock from Gilberts and it has worked out perfect for me. It gives you the feel of a true pistol grip, and has a flip up/down type pad which (for me) is perfect for scope or iron sights. I really like it. Took it and my Valmet M76 .223 for a comparison shoot. Shot both with their iron sights, the Valmet
