  2. Not anymore.... I moved! ( to the sounds of california here I come...) PENNSYLVANIA HERE I COME....doo dah... doo dah... heck with NY.... Where in PA?
  3. I hear ya......I'd be hesitant as hell too. Only thing I can think of putting some kind of deposit down using Paypal or something. On the other hand, you would have my address and contact info. I'm gonna continue looking for one (local gun show or something) and just throw done some $$ for one. Any of you guys located near Pittsburgh btw? edit: on the other hand, it might be easier to just use my 20 mag, see how things turn on the first batch, then go from there.
  4. I guess I'll go with the double. No way am I waiting 6 weeks or paying an aextra $7.50 for a little bit of grinding. I was looking at Blackjack's site since they seem to be the only place with a shepherd's crook. Thanks again
  5. Already got 20.....just need a 12. Are you saying that short of buying a S12, stock mags are almost impossible to find? Damn cauze that really sucks. Maybe I should bypass the S20's and just make a S12 die and turn out some samples. edit: Anyone willing to lend me one? I need one to scan into the computer........
  6. Great So, does anyone have both then? I need to compare the differences. I think I need to get in touch with Izhmash and see how much it would cost to send some to my friend in Russia. I'm playing with an idea for making a die for high-cap S20 and S12 mags. But its sorta diffucult to do without one. Any volunteers?
  7. Hey there.......came over from the S20 forum. Whats the cheapest source for a single S12 5-rounder mag? I need one to compare to a S20 mag. I remember seeing some links ago for a mag for $9.99. Also, does anyone have a S20 and an S12? How different are the two? Thanks.
  8. The place I want to order from has the singles on a 6-8week backorder. Thats also the place that has those $12 whatcha-ma-call it crockman's something. Im trying to save on shipping and order from one place.
  9. Hmmm......you just gave me a sweet idea The only problem I see is the bottom of the old mag not having the runners on the inside (or whatever the heck they're called). Would this cause any problems?
  10. I know this has been mentioned before, I just wanted to double check before ordering. What needs to be done to double hook's to use in the conversion? thanks
  11. Whats the going price for 8 rounders anyways? If you could buy some, what would be your limit? $30, 40, 50.....? I'm looking into making some 8-10 rounders. Just need to get my hands on a S12 mag.
  12. I was wondering if it was just me. I recently converted 3 30 rounders....one seem slopper than the other 2. But overall all three have some play in them.
  13. I think they're damn expensive for a piece of plastic I haven't done the conversion yet.....I'll try to post pics when I do.
  14. We'll see what he says......fingers crossed
  15. We may have something afterall lol...... I'll see what he says first. I haven't mentioned what exactly "it" is.....better to talk in person and explain it first. PM me your AIM id
  16. Indeed.....this guy is cool as hell. I'm interested in hearing what he says.... Ideallly, its as simple as getting several casts for each type of mag then finding someone to produce them (here or abroad). I'm not a ME (Comp Engr here), so I could be way off........
  17. Didn't consider that thanks. I don't think they would be involved in the actual production (well not for free at least). They had another weird machine that could produce large metal parts from a sandbox....ie intakes manifild.....
  18. Sending email now.......I'm trying to word the "why" without making it sound like I'm in it for the money. Stating it has to be imported, over priced, hard to find..etc..... Plastic mags are do-able right?
  19. I was just thinking the same thing. I know somebody who works for a company that (bear with me) has these rapid prototyping machines. If you input a CAD model, it can make the model no matter how complex. It's very similiar to a inkjet printer....it picks up metallic sand and sprays it preciously where it needs to go. After about 20hrs and some baking.....you have something for injection molding. Took a tour of the place.....blew my mind. The possibilities...... I'm gonna talk to him sometime....maybe he could hook me up with some mag casts and negatives.....hmmmmmmm another pipe dream
  20. Found mine suprisingly....Lowes = always out of stock. They seemed to match the number 139446 by Hillman.
  21. Thanks....got my buddy to thank for that. I unknowingly bought galvonized steel (bad to weld with), so filling in the area was best next thing. Now I just need to find a AK drum on the cheap
