  1. I just finished ordering a Saiga-M 7.62x39, and a 16.3" .223. This is my plan. The M will be used primarily for deer and hogs (quite a few in my area), and zombie stopping. I plan on adding a POSP to it, but keeping it stocked. I know it creases cases, but I have built up a good supply of ammo, and I don't plan on reloading. The .223 will be converted to a PG side-folder (by me/galil style), this will be a part of my daily-carry BOB. I don't plan on keeping a massive amount of ammo on hand, but I will reload if necessary, and it's an extremely common round in my area. Lots of
  2. Anyone know if the M's have bullet guides in them? I haven't seen one in person yet.
  3. http://www.izhmash.ru/eng/product/saiga.shtml The above link says that the "-M" class has a heavier receiver. Is that considered an advantage?
  4. I don't have a digital camera, or a scanner. I have to take them in, pay to have them digitized, and then I can email them. If no one is interested in the rifle, I'm not going to go through all of that hassle.
  5. Sold Pending Funds For sale, $300 or reasonable offers (I won't accept $100 or lowballs). SA 1903 Mk I, on a 'sporter' stock w/original butt-plate. From what research I have done, the gun is original with the exception of the stock. This particular rifle was sold as part of the Civilian Marksmenship Program back in the day, by one of my uncles. I was given the gun as a gift about 10 years ago. Until very recently I had never shot it, and to my knowledge no one else had for quite some time. The stock is no work of art, but it's functional. An original 1903 butt-plate is attached
  6. I received one as well, only it was addressed to me. It was just stuck in my P.O. Box. I also own the full version. I've passed the mailer onto some of my 'un-informed' politically correct friends.
  7. Hey folks, Just thought I would say 'hello' to all of you. I've been lurking here for a couple weeks, kinda feeling things out. I'd thought since I've gotten so much useful info from many of you, that I would go ahead and join up (and donate! which I feel is only fair) I don't own a Saiga yet, but I am planning on ordering one next week. I currently have a Charles Daly 1911, a SA 1903 Mk I, and an off-brand break-over 410 (my first gun). Like many of you, I'm a vet and a former LEO. I now work in the Oil industry. Anyhow, I also wanted to say thanks to all of t
  8. My older brother bought a Taurus 1911/SS and I traded my old Iphone for a Charles Daly 1911 around the same time. We've both fed around 200 rounds through each of our pistols, and had no problems. We have both decided to replace our sights though. Our dad has a kimber, and his sights seem to be a lot better. I found some sights at a local gunshop for $25 though, which isn't that bad. We have taken turns shooting each others' pistols and can't really tell much of a difference. Mine is just a little lighter. I spent years carrying M9's, then later a glock 22. I can honestly s
