  1. Did you notice there is nothing else on there either like a trigger, stock, dust cover, axis pins, barrel, etc. (just kidding). It is what is known as a stripped receiver. I can not fit a complete long gun into the photo tent. The mag release consist of an extended mag release to activate it with your trigger finger without letting go of the grip. Jack I'm assuming the extended mag release is included with the magwell? Have you, or do you have, a LRBHO mod to work with the magwell you have developed? More info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! JD 8^)

    BHO

Could you please enlighten me as to where to get one of these (LRBHO) goodies. I hope it works with the newly released magwell I saw on the forum tonight.
  3. Check out this link I found with more info on the VLTOR AK adapter. http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=11579 Plus here are some pics of the VLTOR adapter.
  4. Check out this link I found with more info on the CAA AK adapter. http://www.ak47.net/lite/topic.html?b=4&am...56&t=111816 Plus here is a pic of the CAA adapter.
  5. I'm in. I'll contact your vendor after reading your reply to this post. Please excuse my ignorance, I'm new to the Sagia world. When you say: "You can take the magwell off and still "Rock N Lock" if you want. " What does that mean? Why not leave the magwell on all the time? Why not convert all of your mags? Why would you need to remove the magwell? I'm assuming your magwell works something like the one on my M4A1. Slap the mag into its catch, release the bolt and start shooting... Correct? More pics of the magwell, mag release and with a mag installed would help explain
  6. I have now spent several hours researching these adapters. I have found two inexpensive composite adapters. One high mount, and one low mount. I will try them both and let you all know what I think. I will attach pics soon. I agree that a metal option would be better. I looked at the CAA adapter but was not impressed. Its pricy too. Based on everything I've seen so far I like the VLTOR AK adapter the best. The built in QD sling socket is a nice touch too. Check out their website for details. Here is the VLTOR adapter.
  7. Thanks for the reply. I would love to see these other adapters. I hope you can find the info and/or links.
  8. I have a Vltor emod stock on my m4 and I love it. I have been looking for a way to adapt the saiga to use this style of stock. I came across this stock adapter. No mods required to use! Does anyone have one of these and/or have an opinion to share? I plan on using a very similar optics mount for my halo sight and the height/geometry looks good in the pic. Let me know what you think.
  9. I have no idea why this topic posted three times... I've posted before with no issue. MODS please delete the duplicate entries.
  10. I'm new to the saiga world so please be kind if I'm way off on my comments/concerns here. While seaching the web for anything saiga related, I came across the wikipedia entry for the saiga 12. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saiga-12) Under the heading of 'Shortcomings' I read the following: "The top round of ammunition left in loaded magazines will acquire an oval shape caused by the magazine spring squeezing the shells against a closed bolt. This will cause a failure to feed if shotgun shells are left in a loaded magazine inserted into a closed bolt shotgun for more than a fe

  13. Yup, has the standard M22x0.75 threads and a lockring. We're working on a big batch of them right now and will try to put together a package deal for Saiga-12 members sometime in January to coincide with the start of our advertising sponsorship here. I'll take one! Let me know when you have your 'package deal' going. JD
  14. Much like the original poster, I am new to the saiga world. I moved from a 590. I bought two saiga 12 this week with the intention of stashing one away and using/modifying the other. I would love to have mine converted by TROMIX but I have no idea what the wait would be. Can you give me an estimate of when I might be able to send in my saiga for conversion? JD
