  1. I'm satisfied my 12 can get the job done inside 75 yds. Here's a 50 yd slug group with lousy factory sights and cheap bulk Federal slugs. The one flier was my error. (small holes are my daughter's with .22)
  2. Here's the converted version of my S-12 with maple foregrip, PG and stock. The other one's my 223. I haven't decided what to make for the foregrip for it yet. 7.62 is up next....going all walnut with that one.
  3. I just finished my conversion this morning. Already did my .223 and it works great. For the S-12, everything hand cycles correctly. I loaded up my AGP 10 rounder tonight with Federal 1-1/8 birdshot and started firing. First shell fires and ejects fine, and the next one feeds correctly, but when I pull the trigger again, nothing happens. I pull the bolt back and eject an unfired shell, then the same thing happens again. Feeding by hand, the action "cocks" well before there is sufficient room for a shell to be ejected, but when firing it seems to cycle without cocking. How can this
  4. hands down that is the most beautiful thing I have seen all day!!!!! Did you make that?? Yes. Made stock and foregrip. PG and replacement stock are nearly complete, and then I'll do the easy part--the actual conversion.
  5. Here's my soon-to-be converted 12. The wood stock definitely makes a big improvement in handling. Post-conversion it will still have same foregrip with matching stock/PG
  6. Here's my 12. I finally got to shoot it a couple of weeks ago after getting it back from GCW fixing the ports. Much better! Now that it's functional, I thought it deserved some pic's. I'm getting ready to convert it once I finish the proper furniture. The keyhole stock was a prototype to see if I could get away without converting it. Even though it handled much better than stock, after converting my .223, the 12 is definitely next. I'll leave the foregrip alone--I like the feel of it.
  7. Probably a dumb question.....doesn't velocity correlate to accuracy?
  8. I saw a 20" 7.62 Saiga today at my local shop ($399 not too bad). I think I want the 16" version instead, but I'm wondering about accuracy. Any real difference out to 100yds? I'm new to the board and the Saiga world--just got my S12 in December. Mr Cole at CGW is working to remove the effects of fetal alcohol syndrome. My shottie was born with port defects. I searched thoroughly and couldn't find a barrel length discussion, but I'm sure I missed it.
