I have a P345 (the new ruger .45) in layway at a local gunstore. It has the accessory rail and is stainless. As soon as I can deal with the personal stuff in my life (nd therefore have some free time!), I am gonna pick it up. I have a P90 and love it. Rugers are great values. Accurate enough and will eat any kinda ammo I run through it. Beauty!

Buyer Beware-- Servo77
Servo77 replied to PM2790's topic in Unsorted WTB, WTS, WTT ads 2005 and older
I didn't back out of a commitment for the sake of backing out. People need to understand something that I have stated before....something is going on in my personal life that prohibits me from meeting saturday. I don't trust anyone on the internet (i have been burned more times then I care to mention) to wait two weeks and then we'll hook up. Everytime I do something like that, the other party finds another deal and goes ahead with it and I am screwed. I have explained this already. I want his gun, he wants mine, but I cannot meet for the deal. There are somethings in life that are prior -

bvamp....something came up that is a personal matter. I cannot meet him. I did explain this in my email. I also explained in the above post a senario Ithat has happened to me that I was trying to avoid. I was clear and until this weekend, things were OK for the deal. I am just trying to protecct my side of it. Look, I don't like it any better then the next guy, but this is just stupid. No one was hurt and I even offered to help this guy accquire another .308. Gosh, what else do I have to do? -

Dude, let it go. Yeah, you did offer cash, or the .223. I still want the .223, but I AM UNABLE TO BE AT THE LOCATION TO MAKE A DEAL....end of story. I cannot alter what has happened to change my plans and I am not going into a discussion of my personal business on an internet forum. I can't be there for the deal. Soemthing more important then a gun has come up in my life and it needs dealt with. I had another buyer who talked to me before you who I decided to sell it to because I don't have to drive anywhere. I repeat, I cannot make it to where we need to meet! How can we do -
Trading wood stocks for synthetic
Servo77 replied to Falcon73's topic in Unsorted WTB, WTS, WTT ads 2005 and older
Do you have the handgaurd or just the buttstock? I have the black furniture from a 7.62x39 I would swap (+ a little cash) if you are interested. -
Does firing steel cases wear firearms more? Would this be a concern for ak's or sks's as they are miliatary firearms? Let me know 'cause I am about to order a ton of the stuff....

Whoa...hodl the phone. Maybe you should give everyone the reason I backed out. I was meeting this guy quite a good ways from were I live...only because I had to go there on business. I sent him a very polite email explaining that because of a change in plans I will not be able to meet him there this weekend and it would be awhile before i could. I had another gentleman who emailed me BEFORe this guy and was offering cash, so I made arrangements with him. I cannot afford to hold the gun for another 2 weeks. Yeah, we are in the same state, but it would be VERY difficult for me to just make -
7.62x39 16" around at any price lately?
Servo77 replied to dodgeturbointerceptor's topic in Saiga 7.62 X 39
i know. he was gonna hook me up. I just can't do it this week. I hope some body here hooks him up. He sounds like a cool dude. Thanks for the plug!!! (and the "cool dude" thing! ) -
Are the fiberforce stocks compatable with the SKS-D (since it has the different magazine attachment)?

Trading wood stocks for synthetic

I would be up for this if the otehr deal falls through. I have a 7.62x39 set. -
OK, I sold my 308 but I also need to sell off one of my extra 7.62x39. I bought two of these w/ the thought of doing a conversion on one but alas, another gun purchase forces me to sell it. It has not been fired and has the original box and magazine. $199 + shipping
-
OK, last stupid newbie question I will ask. Which one is better, the SKS-D with the factory installed AK mag compatability or a romanian SAR-1 (it has synthetic stocks and such). Which is better for accuracy (considering the 7.62 round)? Reliability? Better quality?
-
Does it work? Is it hard to install. I want to order a new magazine latch as well to accomodate AK mags, but the only one I can find is romanian....would that work?
-
Are there any mags you can convert to .223 or high cap. metal mags that will fit the saiga? Also, how is the accuracy? Thanx Bill
-
I was checking out the last Saiga 7.62 at the local gunstore (I bought all the rest.... They had a hungarian double stack ak-47 mag there and the only difference that the employee and I could see is that the catch on the ak mag was thicker. Should I just be able to file the catch down and the mag will work? Feed wise, it looks identical to the saiga mag I have.
-
-
So they work well and feed ok? (unlike the aftermarket detachable mags). How hard is it to find chinese ak mags? These guns seem to be $100 or more higher then a standard SKS....are tehy worth it? Would you rather have an sks D or a saiga?
-
Is it the D or M that was made in china with the detachable mags. I know one of the two was an importer conversion. Are they reliable? I have heard nightmare stories about jamming problems that SKS rifles have if fitted with aftermarket detachable mags. Since it was built at the factory this way, are they any better?

have a saiga .308 22" barrel woodie that I got about 3 weeks ago. NEver fired. I have some 7.62x39's that I can shoot more often (no range for the .308), so I want to sell my .308. How's $300 sound? I paid $350 for it. Would consider a trade + cash for a .223 or another 7.62, or maybe even a chinese sks, but probably just want to sell it.

Is the wood furniture found on the .308's prone to cracking? I have heard a couple examples of that being the case on another forum.
-
I would take it. Where are you located? I take it you left you handguard on?

Going a bit off topic..... What about this rifle? http://www.makarov.com/guns/0846.htm It seems a bit pricey to me, but looks like a fun blasting gun....plus I have heard the chinese sks's are much better then the others commonly available. How would accuracy compare to an AK? I have heard that SKS rifles are a tad better.
