  1. I joined this forum a couple of years ago but didn't post much. I tried almost every fix discussed on these threads for FTF/ FTE. Very frustrating. My FTF problems progressively got worse. I only had a 12-gauge with ...possibilities. I knew what the gun was capable of doing from watching several videos. Fast-forward to today. I got back from the range a little while ago, satisfied that I now have one of "those" guns, thanks to Michael at Lonestar Arms. Not only will it eat #6 Remington heavy dove load, it will feed it through ProMag drums, Md Arms drums and Surefire 12-rounders. No pr
  2. I've been following panflu preparations ever since I learned that H5N1 (avian flu) was infecting people (family physician brought me up to speed). Although controversial, Sambucol looks like a good bet since it has been clinically tested with good results against seasonal flu (and it's OTC). Problem is that some say it may cause your immune system to overreact and make things worse. However, if that's all I had for an antiviral, that's what I'd use. A few days ago I checked the CVS stores in town and it was still on the shelves. Now it's not, so it looks like the sheeple are waking up (yo
  3. Mine's named "Precious", after the ring in The Lord of the Rings (especially after adding the MD-20).
  4. Hey thanks. I wasn't sure about moving it, but a friend of mine was at the range with me and volunteered the use of a brass hammer. He just didn't have it with him at the time. At least I know I'm on the right track.
  5. Just got back from the range this morning. First time to try out the MD-20 along with the Gunfixr plug. I started out with Winchester AA birdshot to see if the drum would cycle a light load. It didn't (FTE, FTF problems). I switched the plug to the lowest setting. Still no results. I replaced the rounds with Federal low recoil 9-pellet buck. The drum then worked flawlessly. I loaded 5 AA Winchester rds into the mag that came with my gun, at the same setting. No problems at all. I can only conclude that my drum does not like AA Winchester birdshot, maybe something having to do with th
  6. If you order through mredepot, use the discount code "fluwikie" at checkout for an additional 21% off total price (was set up for those preparing for pandemic flu, group discount).
  7. Thanks for the links. These look like they'd still come in handy for a pandemic event. 3M makes some good half-masks but I like the idea of full containment for Personal Protection Equipment. From everything that I've read, 40mm NATO filters looks like they would keep out viruses. I also like the idea of the voice amplification, especially if used for the primary care provider. Excellent. By the way, I think I took the last batch of the 40mm filters, but you can get those just about anywhere.
