  1. THAT is some funny shit! Does anyone know what he's saying?
  2. Hey Messiah Jones, We're most all new to Saigas! Saiga DOES sell a smooth bore shotgun with a threaded barrel. I've heard varying opinions on whether or not you should use chokes (a threaded accessory) with slugs. Personally I stay with rifled slugs and no choke. CDNN sells a short (19 inch?) threaded barrel adjustable sight saiga for CHEAP. kick your dealer's ass if possible and get what you want. www.cdnninvestments.com call the telephone number to find out what is available. Choke tubes are here: http://www.eaacorp.com/parts/saigaaccessor...ies/index.shtml Good luck!
  3. If you haven't already done so (it's been posted before) make sure to disassemble the bolt and pull out the firing pin for cleaning. It's pretty obvious as to how to do so and the only tool needed is the punch in the cleaning kit. I took mine out for a test run in **really** poor conditions a couple of weeks ago. With a 19" threaded barrel I mainly fired rifled slugs in 2 3/4 ' shells. At 40M I shot dead center in a 15 mph crosswind on the first shot. Conditions were so poor I can't give a good report but I DID find half a dozen plastic slug tails on the scree backstop 100M away, and they
  4. Raising the wheel would lower POI and vice versa.
  5. 1) Yes- sorry! 2) Don't know that they make one! Makc?? 3) This site's homepage (help browbeat Makc about arrival dates here- we're all waiting!) Chokes at http://www.eaacorp.com/parts/saigaaccessor...ies/index.shtml You already have a thread protector- don't buy another by mistake 4) Yes 5) yer gonna love it!
  6. There is a leaf spring that acts to keep the adjustment wheel stationary. The cleaning kit that came with your rifle has a punch-like tool that you can use to hold the spring up while you turn the adjutment wheel. You will see a small hole in the side of the sight rail- this is where you insert the tool. Take a look and my gibberish will make sense!
  7. Speaking of ammo- does anyone know where to find Barnaul metal case shells??

    Paradox

Does anyone sell the Paradox in the U.S.?
  10. First off I want to thank Makc for putting this site up as it has helped me find info I didn't see anywhere else. Second, I was talking to Makc the other day and he mentioned he thought the initial reception to the site was kind of, shall we say, lukewarm. I gave him a couple of ideas that I think will help but there have got to be more and better ideas out there. This leads to my actual question: What does this site need to make it more useful, helpful, and especially what will 'light a fire' here and help get the forums moving a little? Ideas??
  11. I like the factory pistol grip configuration but might use this if there was no other option. I think I screwed up my vote!
  12. HAH! I saw this thread's title and was PISSED! I just received my S-12 and it sounded like there was a new model available that I had missed LOLOL. Seriously though if it operates half as good as it looks we'll all be very happy. Makc is correct- those things are pretty heavily greased at the factory. First thing in the morning I'm breaking out the Hoppe's!
  13. Excellent! Thank you so much Mackc! I guess the only other question I might have right away is who has the Paradox for sale? It sounds like it would be interesting to toy around with. Maybe you have a link to the Russian forum to which you you refer (if it's in english!)? My S-12 19" came in and I'm VERY pleased! It will be a couple of days until I get it cleaned (GREASY!) and out to the range but I'll post when I do. Also, it's probably no secret but: My shotgun is one made in 2000 and DOES have the bolt catch. The book that EAA sent in the packaging reads: "The Bolt Catch was added to
  14. Here are the questions I've seen asked but not answered! 1) Are we limited to 5 round mags? What's the story on the reported 7, 8, and 10 round mags? Can non-law enforcement citizens own them? 2) I want to use slugs. Can I use my fixed choke shotgun safely with slugs? Who says so? Please comment on sabot rounds, rifled slugs and non-rifled slugs, especially how well these rounds could be expected to work with a Saiga smooth bore barrel. Also please comment on non-choked barrels with the same mentioned rounds. 3) If slugs are safe with chokes can they also be used with screw-on
