  1. I agree that they left themselves a giant gaping hole to drive their ban-laden truck through. Actually, the hole is so big that it has greater mass than all of the surrounding non-hole matter. It's a black hole. And this basically gives Eric Holder the reins to do whatever he wants. BUT, don't you think that if they were going to go to the trouble to do a "study" and issue a report, that they would've just written the rules to catch the Saiga? I mean, if that was actually the goal. I'm about 99% certain that the ATF, Holder, and Obama are not only on the same team, but hanging out i
  2. Check out: http://www.caseclub.com/ We us them for Pelican cases at work; lowest prices we could find. They also carry other brands.
  3. The AG (the most anti-gun AG in history) could classify the S-12 as a DD at his whim. The GCA '68 quoted above gives him the power to reclassify any shotgun he thinks is "unsporting" with a bore over .50 with the stroke of a pen. I bought my S-12 because I wanted one badly and honestly believe this will happen as soon as he can get away with it. I think we've only made it this long because the S-12 cult is still under the radar enough to not get noticed. I've never met anyone personally who wasn't a dealer and HAD heard of them.
  4. So I ordered mine from thegunsource.com two weeks ago, and they showed up yesterday. They were $30.99/ea. The fitting was quite easy. Took about 2 min/mag with a small file. Mags are now easy to "click in" but still nice and snug. The followers are still too small. I don't have a wine cork in my house, but I do have a small hammer about the right size and a heat gun ($10 at Harbor Freight!) , which worked nicely. I widened the followers out and fixed that problem, but rounds 3-5 were refusing to chamber as I cycled the gun by hand. The front of the shell jammed between the bottom
  5. I ordered some from TheGunSource.com 2 weeks ago when they were listed in stock. Apparently I didn't jump fast enough because they never came. I got an advertisement from them today that they have them in stock, and sure enough, they shipped! They'll be here tomorrow (gotta love FedEx Saturday delivery!) & I'm excited to see them. I paid $30.99.
  6. I've had static build up, but never an explosion! Just a little powder sticking to the hopper. MEC's have plastic bottles, too. I think the explosion thing is an urban legend. I see it discussed from time to time, and the general consensus is that it's nothing to worry about.
  7. thegunssource.com claims to have them in stock as well. I just placed my order, so I thought I'd pass it along. They're charging $30.99.
  8. You're right belt-fed; I thought they were expensive, but a quick search shows they only cost about $35-$45
  9. Here's a link to the thread the builder/owner posted about the project on THR: There's some very cool pictures there, as well as some more video. He has shot IPSC with the damn thing! Deer Hunter's 1740
  10. I'm loading on a Lee Load-All II as well. I have the primer feed, which I have to pick up and shake each time, but I think it beats handling each one. I can load about 100 rounds/hour if I don't have to make any changes. The downfall of the Lee is that if you have to change loads, there's no easy way to A) empty the powder/shot hoppers or B ) change bushings with stuff in the hoppers. I found I can load 19.7gr Red Dot (about the cheapest powder around, too) with a windjammer or WAA12 wad and 1 1/8 oz shot into several different hulls. The beauty of the Lee is that it comes with everything
  11. Great video-thanks for the link!
