Just spoke to RAA the lady that answers the phone says the boat has arrived today. She claims that by Jan 16 the distributors should have them.

Just noticed the replacement pin included in the Tapco G2 trigger group. Or is that a rivet? Thanks for the replys so far. I appreciate it. -
Actually I was quoting Tactical Response and found what speed it really soars at. 5.8x42mm ball round is loaded with a 64-grain FMJBT with a steel penetrator. This runs at 3,050 fps Winchester 223 Remington 62 gr. USA Full Metal Jacket Muzzle Velocity (fps) 3100 Looks about the same as American .223

[/quote/ China is replacing the AK with their own designed and built QBZ95 military rifle. The ammunition for this rifle is in caliber 5.8x42mm They designed this cartridge by themself's and it's considered the best small miltary round in the world. It's about 2,000 feet per second faster than the U.S. .223 or the Russian 5.45x39 and has better pentration. The Chinese have moved away from the AK design. Russia is also moving away from the AK in designing a new military rifle called the Nikonov AN-94 Abakan Designed by Izhmash of all people! The new rifle is supposed to be chambered in 5.45

Off the subject-Highly unlikely it would happen, as I understood from a lawyer some time back. However, if their was a jury full of second amendment supporters and someone was being tried for a gun violation based on either of the major gun control acts. I was told that the jury can liberate the defendant based on their declaration that they as a jury find the written gun law in conflict with the constitution and therefore can set a presidence as a jury against the written gun control act as unconstitutional. But, I was told most juries didnt know they could do that.

If DD's are truely just regulated by name and not design then one solution may be to create an exact duplicate receiver and just swap out the original. This being done before the saiga becomes nonimportable because of DD designation will allow someone to assemble a rifle out of imported parts and get your polaroid pictures notarized by at least one notary public before the declaration of DD date. You do not even need a serial number if you do a home made receiver. But, once saiga shotguns are declared DD's assembling one with a clone receiver is creating a non-importable out of imported

Hey Z1500, any 10 round prototypes to test yet?
expeditionx replied to pedal2alloy's topic in Saiga-12
I think all the gun laws that I have seen or heard about are stupid. I am glad for new developements in firearm technology. The one potential thing that may happen regarding saiga shotguns at least the 12 and 20s is this. The contact person from RAA already stated that they cant import 8 round mags for the saiga12 because if they do they ATF has threatened to declare the saiga shot guns a DD. The minute new 10 round detachable shotgun magazines start circulating the ATF may make good on their threat. RAA would be stuck with alot of hard to sell DD's. Attorneys would probably point to -
RAAC's prices for new Saiga's
expeditionx replied to smithwr3's topic in Saiga Weapons - General Discussion
I called up gunsmoke and asked a price for the bars 4-1 rifle. He said there was no such import from RAA. I said its listed on their website and he said the only only ones he knows of to be brought in soon are the semi-auto 7.62x39,.223,.308, 12 gauge, 20 gauge, and .410 saiga's. Hes a little in the dark about the whole picture. -
I own a Fabarm FP6 shotgun a variation of the SDASS with black composite furniture. Neither remington, winchester, or mossberg stocks will interchange with Fabarm. Choate machine sells Mark 6 series stock for the FP6 which is a thumb hole pistol grip and a magazine extension. Fabarm also makes a pistol grip and pistol grip with folding stock for the SDASS but I do not think they were imported for civilian purchase in the United States. The pistol grip and folding stock would probaly be a 922 issue for Americans. The FP6 was imported with a tubular magazine capacity of 5 rounds. I remembe

2 inches is about right because your scope cross hair's axis is between 3 and 4 inches above your bore axis. The chart from Freedom optics does not take into account higher scope placement and that is a major factor. The higher the scope is from the bore axis creates a greater difference (magnified) in the separation of the two at longer distances from the point of intersection. This is usually why it is recommended to have you sight/scope alignment close as possible to the receiver. An easy way to check this if you dont have a ballistics calculator program is to go to http://www.fede

Thats what I figured too. I can not understand what IAMANAKNUT is basing the MAK 90 suggestion on. He states " Regardless, I still go with the definition by the good old LBJ Gun Control Act. It is already a semiautomatic assault rifle so it should reason that it does not have to be compliant with 922®. Only Norinco, Michell, and Poly Technologies were spelled out, all others must be compliant." I figured that after the 89 importation restriction all new imports would have to conform as they did with the MAK 90. I just dont see how the 94 act nullifies the 89 restriction because the 94 li

expeditionx replied to expeditionx's topic in Saiga Weapons - General Discussion
Good job. They already decided they weren't going to build them for the S-12. You're a little late. Kevin <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Z1500 glad your on top of this matter but could you be alittle less sarcastic towards someone that hasnt ever smarted off at you. I was only trying to help im sure an asshole like yourself does not appreciate a well intended effort even if i wasnt fully imformed. -

Update on RAA as importing Saigas
expeditionx replied to expeditionx's topic in Saiga Weapons - General Discussion
This is right off of the knoxx website. Please note that the Sidewinder bears no similarity to the Street Sweeper or USA-12 shotguns. The Street Sweeper being a 12-shot revolver-type weapon and the USA-12, a magazine-fed semi-auto. Federal law does restrict the installation of our products on semi-auto shotguns or those manufactured outside the United States. Doing so would constitute a federal felony with a hefty fine and prison sentence attached. Therefore, all of our products are designed in such a way as to prevent their installation on any semi-auto shotgun. Question becomes t -

Update on RAA as importing Saigas
expeditionx replied to expeditionx's topic in Saiga Weapons - General Discussion
The lady at RAA said they can make more money selling Saiga rifles and shotguns than selling 30 round 7.62 and 8 round shotgun magazines. They could just import magazines but that would be it for further importation of Saiga longarms under the current ATF policy. Would you rather have more guns imported or alot of magazines? The tradeoff for the 8 round shotgun mag importation is the hassel of deciding what to do when saiga shotguns become a destructive device. I personally do not want to see the shotguns become DD's.
