  1. Mine stays in just fine, I put the bends in it like the CSS video shows. But when i was instaling after my conversion I actually put pin through the loop the spring made. This made it completely secure, it might be worth a try if you want to keep the bolt hold on. As to the actual question if the russians use the bho, I am not sure, but would be interested in knowing. I would imagine that they do not. I think it was put on as an import requirement to make it a sporting weapon
  2. Thats a lot of extra money in a tax stamp to take off 3 inches. I couldnt imagine that the noise and recoil would be very different. I dont notice a whole lot between my 20 inch mossberg and my 18 inch remington
  3. If you dont want to do the conversion i have an extra reciever block stock. PM if interested
  4. I tried to punch mine out at first, but i didnt have much luck. I guess having a vise or good table could have helped with that. Ive read that they are reusable if they are punched out. Ive heard of people just putting them back in to cover the holes, but it didnt work out that way for me
  5. I polished my carrier with my dremel and the abrasive buffs, then finished off with the felt wheels and jewlers rouge. Used just the wheels on my bolt. I didnt need to reprofile my bolt or anything as my weapon runs just fine, and I dont have much trouble loading on a closed bolt, I just like the look
  6. I bought an aes-10 a few years back, and im really into its club foot stock. really really comfortable
  7. Nevermind, I used calipers and just drilled the hole on my own
  8. My first conversion, I still need to get some hole plugs for the old trigger linkage
  9. Hello all, firstly I would like to say I have spent a LOOOONG time lurking here. I have read everything relevant to converting my saiga and am infinitely grateful for this community. I have recently decided to ditch my reciever block and ace stock for a true conversion. This wonderful community as finally given me the courage to hack up my weapon. But seeing as how this is my first conversion, and I dont trust myself to measure my pistol grip nut I have decided to use the conversion drilling guide, but I need to know if it is compatable with the MD Arms Saiga 12 trigger guard (http://www.missi
