  1. Got a Moon Omega fixed blade knife for sale... the Dark Matter finish on this knife is an extremely deep case blueing that comes from the entire knife being mirror polished, then case blued and then set in bluing compound overnight. The result is a near black mirror finish that's totally rust resistant and very durable, not to mention has a ton of character and a really cool break-up effect for the tactical guys. Grind is a double swedged lum tanto with a slight recurce and clip top. Handle is comfortable in both saber and reverse grips. I used to use a very similar handle shape in my
  2. To be completely honest I'm more concerned with putting together the absolute best knife I possibly can than using lower end materials to try and sell more knives. I can't build them fast enough as it is... I'd rather just use Ti. Gives me more finish options, it's lighter and stronger, more durable from denting and it puts the balance point where it needs to be
  3. I have a small collection of balisongs myself too, tho its no where near what some guys in the hobby have lol. Mostly I just make stuff tho. I'm actually more into guns than knives, I enjoy them more, but high end and handmade knives actually make awesome investments just like guns. Sharpening... yep I do sharpen knives for folks, I charge 5$ a knife, 25$ for specialty items like swords, spear heads, throwing weapons, ect plus whatever return shipping is and you have to pay to ship them out to me.
  4. Actually I have a drop in modular latch system, you just undo a couple screws in the rear and I have different kinds of latches that drop in, a T-latch, spring latch and a ball bearing detent latch that's unique to this design.
  5. Yeah I know, not much I can do about it since its the materials and it takes about 40 hours to make a single knife. The titanium, just for raw mateials in a single knife costs about 400$ to buy and machine, I'm making every part in the knife except the screws at the ends of the handles and don't get me started on S110V... anyway, boils down to yes, it's pricey, but it's high performance gear that will last a lifetime, they're handmade and I'm actually extremely competative with the competition as far as custom knife makers go. Custom knives cost money. I gotta make something tho, that's how
  6. I honestly have no idea, I'm pretty sure it's a Remington 870 specific unit tho.
  7. It's actually a glow in the dark epoxy that I came up with about a year ago. It's hard to get glue and junk to bond to titanium, so I had to do a bit of searching to find a clear epoxy that will adhear. That one's going to be up for sale soon, just waiting on HT for it, price will be 850$ since it's got an S110V blade as well.
  8. Thanks guys! Yep, that's me on youtube. I'll have a couple for sale, I'll post them up in the for sale area but some folks may be put off by the price, they do start around 650$ (which given the material costs is actually a bargain, they're handmade out of some pricey materials and each one takes about 40 hours to complete). Some have S110V blades which are a bit more expensive. I take my ATS-34 up to 57RWC but with the cryo-tuning from ECHT they've been very impressive. Tough as nails these knives... I still have to edit the video but I was able to hoist my fathers pickup off the
  9. So I've been off S12 for a while, honestly I've just been too busy to keep up with a lot of forum stuff. Trying to get back into the groove and stop lurking, but it's hard keeping track of knife making, forums and college... Anyway thought I'd show off some of my recent custom knives. I've been working on building some high end balisongs (butterfly knives) for the past couple months. This model is called the Orion, it's a 5 inch bladed beast with .2 inch thick cryo-tuned ATS-34, quarter inch thick rounded 6Al4V titanium handles, quarter inch pivots, a unique system of internal stop pins
  10. Got a mesa tactical low profile AR-stock and PG adapter for the 870. Comes with a mil-spec tube, Tango Down battle grip, castle nut and retainer and a Tapco CAR stock. Mounts directly to the tang of your 870 for a PG and AR stock conversion, very high quality setup. Mounted once but never shot it in that configuration, theres some cosmetic scuffing but no dings or scratches. CTR and riser NOT included. Asking 125$ shipped via paypal for the whole unit in the US ONLY. Paypal (no mention of firearms and +3%) or USPS MO accepted.
  11. Excellent, that's what I needed to know. I was concerned that there might not be enough backpressure on the gas system if I cut the barrel down to the gas block. That said, I suppose if there's a problem I can source a booster attachment, provided it's still to legal length. Worst case I guess is I'll need a new barrel or some paperwork lol, but isn't there an AK varient that has just the same configuration I'm proposing?
  12. Working on a Arsenal SLR-107CR, which has a combo gas block/fsp and a slightly longer barrel covered by a faux flash suppressor. I'm curious as to how hard it is to shorten the barrel and perma-affix the flash hider with a pin. Will the shortening of the barrel cause any problems with undergassing and if not, what kind of tools do I need to shorten the barrel and recrown? If it will cause undergassing, does anyone know if there's a way I can affix a flash hider to the end of my full length barrel?
  13. So I was out testing some AK mags and I had a weird FTF. Skip to 3:00 and you'll see what I mean. The new round failed to chamber, instead it seemed to bounce off the chamber and lodged itself between my bolt carrier group and the from trunnion. This is the weirdest gun malfunction I've ever had. My question is, have any of y'all had this happen to you before? Is there something I did to make my gun hiccup? Yeah I know it's a 10/63, but this is the only time it's ever jammed and I've shot about 500 rounds out of the gun so far. It seems to run fine on every kind of ammo... I wonder i
  14. Recently Sig's have been utter shite, and it pains me to say that because I really love Sig. Ive got a 556 and a 220, and both are my favorite guns I own. the issue is they've been really rushing RnD on their 55X platform, trying to bring out new stuff and they've really dropped the ball on quality and maintaining their namesake "to hell and back" junk. I will say the 556 is an AWESOME 5.56 rifle, better than any AR I've ever shot, especially for the money. I hope they get the 556R straightened out because I really would love to have one, but at the rate they're going it'll be a couple
  15. So I have a Saiga 12 with an internal ACE mount in it. Recently I've noticed some problems with my standard non-push button folding mechanism and decided to remove it... I thought the fit was too sloppy and it was actually folding while I was shooting from the recoil and you couldn't really sling the gun while the stock was folded because of a lack of a latch to hold the stock folded. Before I took the folding mechanism off I was having FTE problems all day with Winchester Universal bird loads. Federal 7.5 shot ran fine thru the gun as did higher powered bird loads and full powered loa
  16. I'm building a budget AR-15 in conjunction with a couple other guns at the moment, and money's tight. If you have a decent budget AR upper for sale, hit me up. Just looking for something basic in 5.56 Nato. Has to have a threaded barrel, flat rail top and a front sight block. dust cover and forward assist much preferred.
  17. First magazine well that actually looks interesting to me. Polymer construction? I like the mag release, very AR like.
  18. Unfortunately I've run into a very basic problem- my Sheriff has a no-sign policy, at least that's what I was told when I called, for Form 1 NFA items. I'm going to try and set up a trust I guess. Are they complicated? I really don't want a lawyer getting involved for the extra expense. How does one transfer property property to the trust and then create a SBR as a trust?
  19. You know, you're not the only one with problems with the ACE stock sets. I have one of their non-push button folding and it's EXTREMELY sloppy. It's on my Saiga 12, which when fired with higher powered loads, actually has enough recoil to push the folding mechanism up and fold the stock. I've emailed ACE about this before and never got a response. I cut my tang for the stock, so I can't really go back to a normal stock set without welding the tang back on. I'd advise staying WELL AWAY of anything made by ACE.
  20. I don't dig "review" videos that are 10 minutes without product demonstrations.
  21. Naw, I don't really think they kick all that bad honestly. Everyone always says they do but they're not that bad. They kick less than a 30-06, maybe more like a full power 12 gauge. It's not unpleasant and the fireball they shoot is awesome. Aim has them for 80$ but you'll have to pay shipping and FFL... but you can buy them all day long at gun shows for about 100$ and it's the best 100$ you can spend.
  22. Well, where'd you get it from? 89$ is the cheapest I've seen any of the 60 rounders go.
  23. Don't get me started on this... I think if you objectively compare the accuracy of a well made AK with that of an AR of the same price, you will have a gun of comparable accuracy.
  24. I've got a CNC and a manual. Do you have a decent instructional or just even some photographs? Also what kind of tool do you use to put in the rivets? I don't mind buying tools since I can use them later on... it's an investment in skills and setup.
