    I have 2 KFM4-Rs and love them, but they are heavy. I shoot pretty well with either rifle. Originally I had them outfitted with EOTechs but couldn't use the regular sights without removing the EOtechs, so I decided to pull them off and just use the irons. I find they operate best with German DAG or German MEN surplus ammo but mine will run anything I put through them. Some day I want to get a GI rifle with a collapsible stock to give an lighter option, unless a compnay comes out with a bull pup that used the same mags. As for mags, I prefer aluminum surplus to steel

    You also have to consider that mags for the PTR 91 can be found for less then $3 each (since the newest scare, before that they were less then a $1)

    I had to re-work this build a little bit because I wasn’t comfortable with the OAL being so close to 26” I decided to back the flash hider off 3/16” which gave me an OAL of 26.25” This created a gap between the crush washer and the shoulder of the barrel, so I installed a .700” barrel shroud made from 1/2” electrical conduit. I used JB weld to secure the shroud to the factory barrel and it is rock solid plus the larger non-tapered diameter of the shroud really improved the look of the front end.     When I built my wife's 10/22 with the underfolding stock I soon realized the Ruger built a great rifle and I also saw the large supply of accessories that were available for this platform. One day I discovered that you could put a 10/22 into a P90 like stock. I love bull pups and especially that rifle so I started to research the subject.     I forget how much I asked for the whole gun but I sold/traded the G-17 frame for $250 and the AA kit for $300 at a local gun show.

    I’m in the club too: If you use a tactical 10/22 you have to permanently attach the flash hider which give you an OAL of 26 1/8”

    I just wanted to let everyone know that Todd Massey has created an under folding stock for the Ruger 10/22. I order one and after assembling it I liked it so much I got a second one.     These are available again. I sold and shipped them to a member but they did not “fit” their AK and they did not feel comfortable modifying them, even though it is a simple process. These fit all of my AKs without any problems and they span from CIA to Saiga to Yugos They came with the Yugo underfolders I just bought and I have Saigas so I prefer USA made mags.     Looks like I need to stir the embers a bit, some dip shits need correct'in Buzzzzzzz, WRONG My wife and I live in a 2900 square foot Modern Victorian House that we custom built on a 1.5 acre lot in a local subdivision. BUZZZZZZZ, Worng I’m a CH-53 Helicopter mechanic and I work 50-60 hours a week. When I’m not doing that I enjoy home improvement projects and often help friends for little or no money at all. BUZZZZZZZZ, WRONG I sold most of that locally and use the cash to buy 2 Yugo Underfolders.
