LRAD is annoying as all get out just to be around even if your not in front of the thing. Any one else one been around one in use? It's the most annoying sound I've ever heard. It's like a cracked out, roided up car alarm from hell. I don't know about the thing being able to kill you. Seems extremely unlike, ok down right impossible to me. It's just a directional speaker that is really loud and extremely annoying. May cause hearing lose because of how loud it is but I can't imagine it doing any thing else other then make you annoyed (room full of screaming babies has nothing on the LRAD). Thin

There's several valid points in the conclusion of the article. 1) You have to hit your target to kill it. Which means you have to AIM. I know bird shot won't penatrate a tv satilite dish at 25m out of a saiga 12 19" barrel. Can't see it penetrating much if sheet metal is hardly even dented or scratched after being hit several times with bird shot. Maybe up close it might be different but I'll save bird shot for birds and clay pigeons. Slugs on the other hand not only put holes in the dish but ripped the metal. Function is the first thing to look at ways to updrade. No point in having a sweet looking gun that doesn't work or is uncomfortable to shoot. Never hurts to make a list of what features you want and then go find what is closest to what you want. I do that on every gun I've built/ or modified. It's easy to spend money getting all the latest cool stuff and discover you didn't get what you really want in the end. Don't forget to get spare magazines. That an easy thing to over look. I didn't clean the gas tube in my AK for a several hundred rounds and I was shooting Wolf ammo the whole time. A lot of carbon chunks came out when I finally did but that was it. Keep the bolt and barrel clean on my AK and S-12. The gas tube on any AK pattern weapon is really a guide tube and nothing else. There's a ton of clearance in there so build up isn't an issue. Rust might be from mosisture while it was sitting. Is there rust any where other then the gas tube? You store your stuff somewhere that could be damp?
