  1. You may be able to use the S12 in the garage too.... http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/10278/1092785-100.stm?cmpid=latest.xml Bill would expand self-defense rights at home Tuesday, October 05, 2010 By Tom Barnes, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette HARRISBURG -- The state House is scheduled today to consider a bill that would greatly expand the so-called Castle Doctrine, which gives a homeowner the right to use deadly force to protect his house and his life against an intruder or assailant. Currently, a homeowner can use a gun or knife or other deadly weapon to defend himself if he is stan
  2. Cool....glad to help "make" you spend $$$$$ Spent some on mine
  3. The track is listed on the Youtube vid when viewed on Youtube. It's 10 min & can be purchased there for a buck. Also, that's her first time ever shooting the S-12. She's more of a long range shooter. .308 is her favorite round, so that's likely why she can handle it well. Damn, she shoots like a badass Looks like she really enjoys the S12.....
  4. First off, I don't usually disagree with the so called old timers on the forum. That being said, this right here, please see above, is the EXACT attitude that is eroding our country out from under our feet. This is a PERFECT example of what the problem is in the United States of America. You know, the land of the free, the home of the brave! Fuck the bear, it's our fucking bear. The attitude should be that we feed the bear what we want him to eat. If he doesn't like it, fuck him. If he growls at us for poking his ass, we slap the shit out of him. If he bites us for slapping his ass,
  5. Guess that means odds are I wont get one Not necessariy. Picked up one this year at the the Dallas Market Hall show. Apparently no one (even the owner) knew what he had. Have not yet been able to locate a spare magazine. Centerfire recently had the Saiga bolt action 30.06 models. . Lucky dog! Good price?
  6. If it were to become a DD.....what accessories should I purchase for my S12 before it happens?
  7. Why do you favor the .308?
  8. Guess that means odds are I wont get one
  9. Good common sense tends to bring about the reality of it all. Thanks for the insight
  10. Thanks. I saw it on that site, but it has no info on how to purchase. I sent an email and it was returned because thier mailbox is full....
  11. Noticed some very old threads about this model..... Are they still being made? I want one
  12. Here in PA you can get a "run of the mill" at a Dunhams Sporting Goods store for 300.00-400.00......Not a Saiga though....
  13. They dont carry it anymore.....You can still get it at Mississippi Auto Arms.....Love mine.... Mine has a threaded bolt welded to the reciever....the large hex nut on the threads lined right up with the hardware that came with the grip.....
  14. That would be the one....I'm happy with my Tromix, but I have friends interested in one. The guy didnt attempt to answer any questions and if I'm about to fork over 2 grand and you cant tell me how many ports\what size\etc and wont show me.....I'd be a fool to spend the money.....
  15. What a waste of time.....are most gun shows like this: $325.00 MD Arms 20 round drum Tromix S17 $2350.00 with dust cover and parts of receiver worn down to the metal (had shark brake, reg folder stock, and HK sites. I asked the vendor how many ports it had at least 5 times and he kept telling me that is had two settings (talking about the gas plug). The guy running the table (never left his chair) just about had a heartattack because his cronnie was going to get a tool and remove the gas plug(per my request) screaming that if it got scratched he would be out his $2350.00, but yet neve
  16. Personally I think you should do a 200rd drum dump video! Thanks again and awesome videos too!!! Just got home from a gun show.....$325.00 MD Arms 20 round drum....I didnt ask but it must of been the first one ever made to drive that price home
  17. Personally, I use a paint program & paint them black. Blurring software can be reversed with blur-reversing software. You're referring to the "swirl" plugin that some pedophile used to blur out his face. They just happen to make an "unswirl" plugin (the cops used it to catch the bastard). If you use the "blur" or "smudge" plugins properly, ain't nobody gonna undo your work. I recommend the Gimp. It's free software, runs on linux, OS X and Windows and uses photoshop plugins (as well as it's own). Just downloaded.....now to figure it out.... Cool....mastered the
  18. Serial #'s are stamped, not engraved. That's why if a gun has a ground off serial #, forensics will smooth & polish the area & apply an acid. The #'s, being pressed in, will result in harder (compressed) steel where the #s were. So when the acid hits the area, the pressed (harder) #s don't dissolve as quick as the surrounding areas, so forensics can I.D. the gun even if the #s were filed off. This is why pros melt the whole damn gun. As for the original question, why defacto-register your gun with anyone who cares to read an open forum? What type of program do y
  19. Just wondering if anything bad can happen if someone else has the serial number of your weapon? I cant imagine what someone could use it for? Should one be cautious when posting pics, etc..... AND why?
  20. No need for you to apologize. You are using the site as it was intended...... Just my opinion.....
  21. I've not been a member of the forum for very long (and I own 3 MD ARMS products for my S12). I don't know of any past grudges, grievances etc...... But such attacks without even testing a product is suprising. Why would a business member (with a large following) word his comments in such a malicious manner? Saiga 12 popularity is growing, which means more business for aftermarket product. I would say, a decent percentage of the new owners know as little as I do about the gun (NEWBIES). If a brand new forum member comes along and doesnt know the difference between your product and others.....I
  22. I should have my VPlug tomorrow.....I'll let ya know, but I never used the gun fixer...... I read the page long information section on the plug at MD arms.....thats what sold me on it
