  1. THANX for the update, I'll be checkin the threads you mentioned the site has changed a little since I've been gone, I may get lost
  2. I had a hipoint 9mm, its an OK gun for plinkin but it has a problem with springs. it wont chamber sometimes, it wont eject sometimes, it wont cycle sometimes, but it all comes back to the springs. If you call the factory they will send you some replacements free that usually take care of the problem. But make no mistake, IT IS NOT A DEFENSIVE FIREARM, IT LACKS RELIABILITY.
  3. Hey, Ive been gone a while (sorry for that), but I'm back I got married on 9-21-06 ( to my high school sweetheart of all people) and I have not had a computer untill now. I know I missed a lot but could some one give me a quick rundown on what I missed. Do we have a new importer yet? THANX GUYZ, Its good to be back
  4. I love my GLOCK M20, recoil is close to the 1911 type pistols. It fires EVERY TIME I pull the trigger, parts are easy to get for up grades, Simple to work on and field strip. 17 + 1 in the chamber with larger clips available ( I have 1 that holds 29 ). Ballistics are super. Winchester 175gr silver tip HP has about 650 FPE from a 5" brl. It points easy and is plenty acurrate for head shots out to 20 - 25 yds. And it can be carried loaded with no worries of AD. Also the 5.7 sounds great against body armor but you will be responsible for every round you fire and over penatration is a liabill
  5. The choicess are endless with most 1911 manufactures offering at least one version in a 40S&W. since you may have to use it to save your life, dont buy something cheap. Check www.gun-tests.com for some honest evaluations and recamendations and the members here can give you some advice as well. Ballistics on the 40S&W are close to the 45ACPand they seem to be a proven round but I prefer the 10mm Auto. The coices are a bit more limited for this round but you can find a few 1911 type hand guns chambered for it. ALL WAYS CARRY ENOUGH GUN !!! What ever you buy practice extensively
  6. I'm lookin to buy a multi reticle scope for my SAIGA 410 and was wonderin if anyone has had any dealins with ATN scopes and if they were good stuff or junk to stay away form.
  7. As with most anything it's all about the quality of the product. Ive had a few POS guns with cheap springs in the mags that would have FTF after only 6 months of being loaded. On the other hand I've had good mags loaded for a couple years that work fine. It also has to do with the gun itself and its rate of cycle. My advice, play it safe and leave a little room at the bottom of the mag, just in case.
  8. Great detail on the blast marks! Looks great! I have to ask my girl if I can hang it in the living room.
  9. A friend of mine just inheritted a lot of guns from his dad and one was a North China Ind. MAK 90. I've never seen one up close and dont know any one that has ever had one so I'm lookin for any info I can get. I will be able to buy it for next to nothing so I want to know if it is worth foolin with or not.
  10. Thanks for the tip Cobra. I used a BFH and a vise with padded jaws but it still wanted to rotate some so I'll try your way and hope for better luck. Thanks again
  11. My saiga shoots a little to the left and I wanted to adjust the rear sight to compensate but I cant get the thing to move!!!! Looks like a standard dovetail type mount that should be drift adjustable but after much hammer swingin and name callin it hasn't moved, am I missing something? HELP!
  12. I'm lookin for some chokes for my saiga 410 so I can hunt furry little forrest creatures. Any body got any they could part with? I'm lookin for full but I'll take what I can get. Thanx guys
  13. I dont know about fire storm 9mm but the 1911 type 45 seems to be the same as a Llama 45 and those arent that great. As for highpoints, Ibought one new and it would only cycle +P ammo, called the company and they sent a new firing pin and stronger FP spring, works great now. If you buy a highpoint go ahead and get the new pin and spring, same for the carbines
  14. Damn, it was worth a shot! Thanx for the info Jeric
  15. Will this affect my parts count for 922 compliance?
