  1. I just finished polishing my bolt and bolt carrier group and then loaded an SGM tactical 10 rd. mag, put one in the chamber, replaced it with another back in the mag and laoded the mag no problem.
  2. When I lined mine up the first time the screws did not go in right I thought I needed to maybe drill the original holes out a little more. After doing that when I lined up the receiver block and got all of the screws perfectly tight I had the gap also, but I added red lock tight to the screws and took my time to put them in perfectly so as far as I am concerned the gap is staying I am not messing with the screws at this point.
  3. whadya got going on there? a little ACE internal block action? Yeah I put the final screws in and I am deciding whether or not to do a folding mechanism or not? Granted I think I may start with the Mississippi Auto Arms skeleton stock, and may add a folding mechanism later? I chose the Mississippi Auto Arms because it uses basic M4 recoil pads which I happen to have an extra one of those.
  4. I agree when I originally installed my Hogue it did have some play in it, I added a rubber washer and it was then rock solid. When I added the internal receiver plate it rested on the edges of it perfectly and I was able to remove the rubber washer and still have the rock solid grip. So it definitely needs something added to it, screw it just JB weld it in place....lol.
  5. Sounds like someone needs a hug.....or maybe anger management...lol
  6. They are sold they actually went to berma051 for $1.00 in my guessing game.
  7. I don't know if I'd go down that road. The purists are going to want to use genuine Russian nail polish. Given the embargo on importing Russian fashion items, it may have to be acquired through a third fashionista country. Then you'd have to decide on what Russian nail polish color to use. "Factory Passion" or "Springtime in the Gulag" are two popular choices, but they'll set you back $75 a bottle. But then again, you'll have genuine Russian nail polish. I have always been fond of the cold gulash color myself. Also one final note just to make the purists crazy!! I did mine with not
  8. Well I will put it this way, to me this forum is a chance to connect with people that have a same interest as I do, now it seems to me IMHO that some here have a bit of a superiority complex and instead of encourage and teach they would rather make fun and try to make some feel as if they do not belong here. But that is what makes our world diverse. I will always try and help out and encourage I mean to me that is what this forum is for. Plus do to the fact that we all have the same stock rifle why not help where we can and trade parts or have a guessing game to give others a chance to get som
  9. Well as promised I am a man of my word and berma051 was the only one to respond. So I will be shipping out the mags at no cost to him tomorrow. Congrats berma!
  10. Mine was made in 09, the barrel was not threaded, but I went ahead and cut my shroud off anyhow. Dinzag makes an awesome kit for threading and it was so easy to do. I just finished threading my barrel today, and it looks great.
  11. Well got my Dinzag kit in today, and got my threading done this evening!!WOOT went ahead and refinished my barrel and I am taking it to the range tomorrow for test firing. Dinzag Rocks!!! The kit could not have been easier!! I will try and post pics tomorrow.
  12. Well the votes are in and the winner is........MODERN TACTICAL!! The votes fell as follows: 28 votes for retro: 48.46% 31 votes for modern tactical: 52.54% There you have it everyone. So modern tactical is the new Black.
  13. OK so I am going to try something different. I have 4 Saiga x39 mags. All 4 will fit a stock Saiga, One is a polymer 30 round ProMag made for Saiga's. The others are standard AK mags that I have modified to fit into a stock Saiga magwell. One is a ProMag 30 round, one is a 30 round steel Chinese mag, and then a 20 round steel Chinese mag. I have tried selling them but with no success so what I am going to do is hold a guessing game, each entry will cost you $1.00 and I will pay S&H for the winner of the guessing game. To enter send me a PM with your e-mail address and a number between 1 an

  15. Folding to the right is perfect that keeps it out of the way of the optic side rail.
