  1. Probably wanted it to solidify his status as a forum outlaw. Soon there would be Wanted Threads offering e-rewards for his e-arrest!
  2. You were telling me how to do it in another thread, but you didn't mention your technique. Now I know
  3. Here's where I currently stand, the hammer block and gear don't seem to fit together anymore. Nothing seems to fit right at all and the action becomes all messed up. When I put the trigger after pulling back the hammer, the hammer hit the pin, but the trigger stays in the same position as though the weapon were cocked. EDIT: The gear and hammer block don't seem to be in working condition either. However, the cost of replacements online is ridiculous. I don't know of any local businesses around here who have those parts, so as of right now I'm SOL.
  4. I'd have to agree here, being half German and having spend a significant time living there as a dependent, I got very involved in watching soccer (still watched the Superbowl at 3-4AM when it came on) but not a single game that I've watched was nearly as bad as this constant humming of bees. I think most of the world cup games I watched either at low volume or totally muted.
  5. Everything works, and the screws are in excellent condition. Turns out I didn't have to open the thing, they were just loose. But now I can't get it back together. The hand seems to mess up the action, and the hand pin which goes into the side plate is an absolute pain to get back in.
  6. Ahh!!! He's right! Except for the tin of 640, there's no other Uly!! =[
  7. So after countless hours looking for Model 80 diagrams, since that's most likely what it is, I still have not successfully reassembled this piece of shit. My frustration is to the point where I want to take a saw and go to town destroying this worthless garbage. Thanks to everyone who gave input.
  8. Is this similar to what you were looking for? I know it's ended, but I'll keep an eye out for you.
  9. Well, upon taking it apart, I discovered a loose pin that had been rattling around in there. Unfortunately, I can't seem to figure out where the damn thing goes.
  10. Hmm, you might be right. I'll compare shipping costs and go from there.
  11. Thanks for the info Al, I'll most likely order from CTD then seeing as $98.75 for 500 isn't that bad at all. I call upon the God of Ammo to bestow upon us $3.79 from Cabela's again. Hell, I'd really like something cheaper than that, but I'm willing to settle for $3.79.
  12. Lucky for you it can't scream rape, that or it really loves the attention ;] You're not alone though, if I had a G30 I'd be babying it too. Spend romantic evenings with it watching tv, going out to dinner and such. Hahahahahah, only kidding.
  13. Update.. I got my 240 rounds of Wolf MC 124gr ammo in (ordered Sat Night) today from SportsmansGuide.. VERY HAPPY with them thus far.. (about 9 ammo orders in the last 6 months) That Cabelas Sale WAS the best though... A few other sites had the Brown Bear FMJ for $99/500.. but then the shipping kicked it about $118 or so.. Albert I know! I miss the Cabela's sale. They Tula .223 is back up to regular price, so I thought they're be selling 7.62 Tula, but still nothing. I want that sale back to buy another 1500 rounds =[ I haven't found Tula anywhere else for cheaper t
  14. I have a Taurus revolver here that's chambered in .38 special, but I have no idea what the model number is. My dad bought it used many years ago, so he doesn't know either. After some research it looked to be a model 14 or 19? But they seem to have a different front sight. This revolver also has an issue with the crane, there seems to be no crane lock holding it in place. I haven't taken the gun apart yet, but I will after this.
  15. Very nice! I'm looking at pick up a G30 very, very soon.
  16. My Bulgy AK-74 is the same way. I gotta use extra force to get that sucker off. Putting it back on is a slice of cheese.

  18. When both guns are assembled completely, it still catches underneath. I'd tried filing the follower down to match the other, but no dice. After closer inspection, the mag body seems to have been pushed upward on one side causing the follower to sit further to the right, off center. Could you bend it to match with needle nose pliers? Well the problem is it's shifted to like a parallelogram. | | say those two lines are the side walls of the mag body if you're looking at it with the follower facing you, shift the one on the left about 2cm up and that's where it's sitting. I don't want

  20. Check out my thread on the CZ-50, need some advice/help.

  21. So I'm prepping my CZ-50 for some weekend firing, when I discovered that one of magazines just doesn't want to release. The other mag however releases fine. Anyone have any ideas what the issue could be? The hold-open & and ejector latch lip seems to somehow sit under the follower as opposed to on top of it as it should. Got some photos for you fellas to examine. The magazine on the right in the photo of the gun and the two mags is the problem child. That problem child also seems to give my other CZ-50 the same issue, so it's not the weapon.
  22. Wow! If I found one, I would never sell it! I used to metal detect a lot, but I've been a bit out of the loop. I'd like to visit and old battlefield one day and do the same. I'm sure there are a few others buried out there.
  23. When I was 12 or 13 my father and I went back to the house he used to live at, in St. Louis, with the current owner. Dad looked through the attic for about 30 minutes in hopes of finding his father's old guns, no luck, unfortunately. He thankfully still has his father's old pump gun, I think it is a Winchester. That's a real bummer =[ I'd love to find a giant time capsule filled with old style guns, from shotguns, lever action rifles, revolvers, pistols, muskets and more.
