  1. The Twister puck. It's the one on the right in this photo. The goal is to end up with a shotgun that can handle 3-gun competition. With the PolyChoke and the adjustable gas plug, it should shoot the light loads needed for steel / bowling pin targets and then be adjustable to shoot slugs. Right now, the gas plug has to be set on "3" which is the largest setting to cycle the light loads. Since I can't really see the front two holes and can barely see the third one, I'm suspecting that they are either undersized, blocked or not uniform. My gunsmith, Doug Jones of Acc-U-Rail has worked
  2. Which stock? Fore or butt? The front forearm stock screw that goes into the bottom of the gasblock is a metric #10 x 32 screw. It's about .4" long. I lost one at the match this weekend, sending me home with 2 stages left to shoot. HH
  3. I'm in the same situation. Am thinking about "Dremel Tuning" the quad rail so there is just a bit more room so the gas can escape. Will try shooting it without the rail and see if it will run the MDArms drum. If it does then it appears that could be the problem. HH
  4. Thanks RJ... I'll swing by the hardware store and see what they've got in stock. I'll have to look at the paperwork that came with it. It was purchased off this forum. This is the post. 3. I inspected them when I got home from the range and they were clear, no obstructions. From the look of the gas block, it looks like it's in the same configuration as it was from the factory. This is a 3-Gun competition shotgun and it will only be running light Federal 7 1/2 1200 fps loads. It will only cycle those with the GunFixer gas plug on setting 3. - 19" Saiga 12 (3 port model lat
  5. Ok, here's the deal. This is actually a 2 part post / question. At today's 125 round shotgun match a couple of things were noticed. 1) FTE numerous times when the SureFire 12 round mags were full and the same with the MD Arms drum had 19 rounds. The spent case is caught by the bolt. I have to reach up and grab it and rip it out of the gun, most times it then chambers the next round. As the drum / magazine gets empty, the FTE's are fewer and the gun seems to run better. 2) The screw that goes into the bottom of the gas block that holds the Chaos rail on is gone. Strangely enoug
  6. Found one.. now to test it out....

  7. If you need any help range testing the design, I'll pay for shipping.... HH
  8. Because the stage designers around here usually have a group of targets separated by a distance and then another group of targets. Movement between shooting positions allows for reloads on the run. Ejecting a partially empty mag and replacing it with a full one while transitioning between shooting positions versus shooting the gun "dry" and doing a standing reload normally results in a faster time. HH
  9. Being new to the S-12, I'm exploring what is going to work well in 3-gun competition. I have three (3) Surefire 12 round magazines, the MD Arms 20 round drum and an original Saiga magazine that came with the shotgun. What I find interesting is the critical area at the top of the magazine. The Saiga magazine has a metal reinforced neck and all of the others are just plastic. Since my mag changes are usually done by dropping the magazine to the ground, I'm concerned about cracking or breaking this critical area. The shells will be at that end making it heavy and it's going to slam into t
  10. Replaced this brake with a PolyChoke so it's up for sale. Retail from Carolina Shooter Supply is $44.95 plus shipping. This one is $25.00 plus shipping. Please enter a post in this thread. The responses will be addressed in the order posted. Thanks for looking. HH
