  1. Yes sir exactly like that. Does it affect your aim at all? Hopefully get out tomorrow to fire it for the 1st time w/the rail. No I use an Aimpoint red dot on mine and the rail is square with the reciever it is just the gas block is canted over. I drilled a hole in my extended top rail that lines up with the hole in the gas block so hopefully it will cycle the fed bulk pack again. Nice. Let me know if that works, may have to do it to mine. thanks. i pounded out the rear sight. Well the Chaos Extended Quad Rail is a no go, I got out today and it would
  2. I'm assuming you used one of those AR grip adapters for the Magpul grip. How do you like it, is it solid? oh, and can you post a close up pic?
  3. No rivets, there's no way to get a press on the inside of the receiver where they go through. They're cap screws w/ permanent loctite, then the heads are filled, sanded and then painted (my little custom work ). you can't put a screw on the side either to act as a safety stop due to the BHO lever on the inside of the receiver. There are some companies that weld a stud to the side, that's the only way I've seen it done. Here's a pic of the rear receiver plate installed: OK, let me clarify. The are two rivets (or pins) that run parallel to the axis pins through the receiver
  4. How meat is on that little block that is riveted into the receiver which holds the magazine release? Is there enought to drill and tap it, so that a small socket head cap screw could be used as a safety stop, or to bolt on a safety stop, or would you need to back it with a nut?
  5. I'll give you a free bump as I'm basically in the same boat as you and can't decide which grip/trigger guard combo I want.
  6. I'm glad I read this, I just got my Saiga 12 and ran 70 rounds thru it this weekend. 35 where 00 buck (on setting 1) and the other 35 was cheap Federal and Remington game loads (on setting 2). All ran fine, so I assumed I was in the clear and safe to do the conversion. I think I'll wait a bit longer and shoot some more before I convert it. Everything ran fine, all the shells piled up in a spot about 6 or 8 feet to the right and in front of me. If I do the conversion, and develop problems later, I assume I am out luck and voided my warranty when I covert it.
