  1. I had a genuis idea last night. As i understand it, the top rail on the KSG is aluminum. How awesome would a set of Chaos HK style sights look on it. Once it arrives i plan to check how the cheek weld will work with sights that low, and if it will i am going to do it. They worked perfect in the short sight radius on the old Chaos extended quad rail so that part is no issue. I am super stoked that they will so i can have a very unique setup on my KSG that no one else has and it be functional.
  2. Found a set of Daniel Defense fixed irons that i like and may try out. Do not necessarily have to use an optic on the KSG and i could use a cowitness if i like them. I hate making choices because as soon as i do i fond something i like better.
  3. Description Estimated MSRP KSG ~$ 1197.00 That is from their website with a MSRP of $1197. I am happy with the purchase and will be happier to have it inhand Tuesday when my FFL opens. Gotta shop for some sights to put on it. Thinking some low profile fold down sights. Any suggestions.
  4. What did you do with the RX? They do not look that big until you see it perched atop something as big as a VEPR and it is huge. On my VEPR I think i want a RMR atop the Chaos quad. Sight it in for slugs, but it would be functional for using 00 also. The reflex I want for the KSG. I had an eotech and really liked it, but the battery life is not a lot when you shoot regularly. I like to have spare batteries handy and the KSG lacks in options in that dept. i could ge another vert grip with a storage compartment i suppose. May have to mill it over.
  5. I paid $1100 out the door. In Jacksonville Florida area the biggest gun store that gets them from time to time (Shooters) rapes people on prices of guns so theirs are stupid when they get them. I planned to try and wait out the prices till they dropped, but now that Keltec has raised their cost for them i doubt you will see many below the $1000 mark anymore. Even their website has the MSRP over $1100 now. Read where someone said they were trying to recover their R&D costs prior to any possible ban implementation since the KSG has recently been added to some. Worst case scenario is i over p
  6. While i was in the police academy we did a drill that i think if everyone in a CCE class had to do would make people think twice. They had you walk up to the firing line and place your loaded and readyto fire weapon on the table. Drop down and start doing push up's to simulate the stresses of "fight or flight" physical effects on the body that occurs during shoot situations. A random buzzer will sound after you have done a random number of repetitions. You have to jump up at the buzzer and shoot at a target coming at you and not hit any or the stationary targets behind it which simulate other

  8. As mentioned above, the best choice is to make an appointment and have a walk through. I did a ton of "research" and learned more in 10 minutes from the safe representative. They did not try and sell me anything at all. They just educated me and showed me what they thought fit my needs best. I was blown away at all the options and differences in what safes are made for. You can go from tin can to bomb proof.
  9. Wunderwaffen- i called and actually spoke to Cameron and got info from him on how to install them together properly. With the Bonesteel side folder folded and the porkypine deployed it looks awesome. When i learn to post pics i will show it both ways ans with the big stick mag it completes the look. Though impossible, a warthog on the KSG would be SICK!!!! I already started shopping for accessories for my KSG and the muzzle devices i have seen are nothing to write home about. I may keep it simple with some nice iron sights, a vertical foregrip, a nice single point sling, and maybe a ceraco
  10. Gee, Thaks DAD!!!! How do I post pics and I will show you my beauty. Maybe I will wait till Tuesday and post a picture of it beside my KSG that should arrive then.
  11. True story Bro... My mom, after much urging and it took her friend being robbed at knife point in Jacksonville, FL to do it, got her CWP and bought a pistol to carry. Actually she bought two, one was a Keltec p11 in 9mm and a S&W .380 bodyguard. She called me up one day and said she had a round stuck in the chamber of her Keltec and asked if I could look at it. When I went to her house she handed me the nastiest pistol I have ever seen. The round was not stuck in the chamber, but instead gummed in there with crud. I asked her how she carried, and she proudly replied "in my purse" witho
  12. I got my porkypine and warthog in today. Went to install them and know how to do one or the other, but to install both solidly is a bit more tricky. I have.... 1) one porkypine 2) one warthog 3) one jam nut I thought about using blue loctite, but worried that the heat from shooting it would cause ot to loosen up. Any advice, especially from Cameron maybe, would be phenomenal. Thanks to any who reply. Josh
  13. Yakdung- Ruger has a place on their website where you register your firearm for any warranty issues that may arise and such. I was asking if they had anything like that available. After asking I looked on their website and could no find anything to that degree. Sorry for a confusing question, English is my first language but I am still not very good at it :-)
  14. Shadowfire- My next purchase is a Tavor with the left handed bolt option. Prior to the tavor I always wanted a PS90, but the ammo availability is so scarce that it was never financially practical since I like to shoot a lot and still have ammo on hand. I have a Stag left handed AR that i love and will probably end up with another couple of them also. As far as the UTAS vs KSG goes, There are up's and down's to the selector knob issue. I see why Keltec did what they did since as a LEO I would want total control of my ammo and not worry about a malfunction causing the wrong ammo to fire. Ha
  15. Thanks for the heads up Yakdung. I will make certain that i do that. Do they not have a place to register new guns like most other manufacturers do? Dane, The UTAS is not an option for me because i am a lefty. Any bullpup with a side ejection port is a non-starter for me. I was originally stoked when i saw the UTAS a while back but then the side ejection killed it for me.
  16. Got it brand new from a FFL. It is the newest generation and i am stoked. This beside my VEPR gives me the two most awesome shotguns made in my collection. Will hopefully be here for pick up on Saturday. I can not wait to have them side by side.
  17. I was thinking the same thing. Only plastic i would have left would be my pistol grip. That would be a beautiful thing indeed
  18. Yes. It would take the platform from awesome to perfect. Magazines have been a point of contention from the gate so steel US mags would make it all better. I like my SGM higher capacity mags and my factory five rounders, bu a steel 8-10 rounder would replace them pretty quickly.
  19. I wandered into the S-12 forum today being nosey and saw that is in the testing phase of 8 round, US made, all metal magazines for the Saiga shotgun. Those sound like they would be so much better up in my magwell all warm and cozy as opposed into those low rent Saiga's (i am snooty because i have a VEPR)
  20. Any chance of these being made for the Vepr 12?
  21. Mine have worked awesomely also. I have three factory five rounders and five twn round SGM mags and i have had perfect function from both. I too keep a factory five for home defense loaded, but for the same reason as stated above. I would trust a SGM if it were what i grabbed without hesitation also.
  22. The coupon code for forum members here is CSS and it gives 5% off your total, before shipping is applied. Save $1 a mag on top of ready being 50% off. I got a pair of them for right at $45 after shipping. Not a bad deal!
  23. Got mine today also. Less than $40 for the pair before shipping. Well worth it for factory mags.
  24. Since a bayonet blade is up and or down when attached a sideways perry would defeat either device equally. To compare and contrast the two, for mounting on a shotgun, i think the porkypine would be at a huge advantage. A similar device for an AR or AK would also be more functional than a bayonet. Its ability to be retracted ans allow the shortest possible firearm while not in use alone has a huge value.
  25. It can fully function as a less than/lethal bayonet style device affixed to your firearm. It is built like a tank and would easily penetrate a person or animal hide. In its retracted form, using the supplied thread protector as a nut to keep in place you will have short spikes capable of less lethal deterence and with them fully extended they woukd easily be capable of lethal damage. Never seen anyone laugh at a porkypine, but have seen lots of people want to see it/touch it/ and play with it. An empty firearm is useless until you add huge steel spikes onto it and it becomes a 3 1/2 foot
