  5. It was late on a friday evening when I was fillin up my cart with stuff for my conversion on their website. Everything was in stock 'cept for one thing. Shot him an email asking how long till it was back in stock, hoping to still be able to order all at once and save shipping. Turns out it was a manufacturer recall so I'm just gonna wait on that part, but the cool thing was that he responded to my email with in minutes. I was completely expecting to hear from someone on like Monday being that it was a business email. Quick, straight to the point and informative. I look forward to doing busines
  6. Thats a pretty slick lil number ya got there. Thank you for the information sir
  7. I just got a new TWS railed / hinged dustcover. It friggin ROCKS! It's extremely light weight too. When I got the box I thought it was empty. Edit... BTW it also came with a nice rear peep mounted to the rail, which can be moved. Just weighed it and it's exactly 4.8 oz, with the rear sight. I'm working a very, trim the fat, fast and nothing extra build. But I really like the hinged dust cover. do you think the TWS could be modified to fit an S12? and if so, could a protion of the rail be removed so that there was room for a rear sight near the back of the cover and then ano

  9. Ron is a older gentleman who is out of the old school age, and probably not on the computer much. He is at most all the gun shows in the Houston area, and is easy for the locals to find. Seems to be a stand up guy and makes a nice trigger assy. haha yea I figured he was. I guess what I'm mostly concerned about is my check even making it there. Or rather when maybe? haha I guess I'm not exactly sure why I'm uneasy, if only it was back in the day when people saw adds for mail order guns in the back of a catalog. I reckon I've just gotten acustom to getting notifications when different s
  10. Well I just got my S12 last weekend, I knew what parts I wanted just had to wait for the next pay check to come in to get 'em. Got everything I needed from CSS, on part from here and a stock from DPMS. Now, I had done enough research to know that I wanted the Texas AK trigger set. Not wanting to have all the other parts and only be waiting on that I took a money order and mailed to Ron as per his website instructed. It felt a lil sketchy but I'd read enough reviews about his product to know that he's not just like collecting peoples cashiers checks and changing address or anything like that, I

A for effort bro, thanks for bein cool and answerin my questions. Guess I'll just have to calm down, wait on the CSS, and dremmel the doors to perfection till it gets here lol I am sorry but I think you are out of luck on the trigger guard; ETAC all but announced bankruptcy yesterday so unless you find a used one or get really lucky and find one that was overstock. A few weeks ago I helped LVshooter with his conversion and he went with the CSS version; not quite as heavy/sturdy but about as close as you are going to get. The CSS version is billet aluminum vs steel but still stronger

yea I'm happy that it won't take much to get it to a decent stopping point till later on. And yessir, I've been stalking around the site for several months now, read up on all the horror stories and what not. I actually bought it from a gun range/store that I worked at for a few years and tried it out as soon as NICS gave me the "proceed" so no I just gotta do a tad of grinding/polishing and some converting....unfortunatly I have to do some spending as well hahaha I was lucky enough to buy my gun in December, which gave me a few months to collect parts until the outdoor ranges were o

yea I actually have a page open for CSS and wanted that one, but it's sold out. I'm an aspiring gunsmith, and someday everything will be welded in place when I get the exact parts I want, but as of now I can afford one and its been too long since I used one to do that without messing up. My goal until then is to convert the S12 I got this weekend and cutting as few holes as possible. The problem is I'm excited to get to work and half the things I wanna order are out of stock hahaha The CSS trigger guard is also extremely heavy duty, it looks like it might be a little lighter than that

Hey Chowder, One more quick question, I cant get anything on their page to load, and all the suppliers that I know about show an error when I click on a promising link. Do you know where to get one and price? And do you need a separate grip nut? Sorry that was like 2.5-3 questions haha
