  1. Jdeko, Now let's take the follower out. You will find a button located in the middle of the floorplate. Press it in with a pen and carefully slide the floorplate to the back of the magazine. The spring will pop out leaving the follower. Tip the mag and it should fall right out. You can do this and no worries as it's super easy to get back together. Cobra needs dimensions of that follower.
  2. so would you need to "convert" your Saiga for those stocks or do they work with the trigger all the way in the back? It doesn't matter where your trigger is located for that stock to mount up. What's important is having the right model. It's a quick mount to a Iz-447 because it has the correct retainers and the needed barrel ring. Your Iz-443 does not. Can it be mounted to a 443? Maybe but you would need a competent gunsmith and pay him a lot of money. You would be better off served by selling your 443 and somewhere finding a 447. What's the chances of obtaining a wood S-12 pi
  3. Move the trigger forward and the stock will mount right up. Don't spend those stupid prices for wood. If you have cash to burn let's talk about installing a SVDS folding stock. That hardware is still out there...
  4. you don't have the FCG set you mentioned for the 433? Because Legion mostly has Russian stuff aside from costing almost as much as my shotgun it also wouldn't fit my Saiga i don't think. Stock/yes Hand guard/no Edited: You might consider selling the forearm for $150. Yes, the guy is charging stupid prices. I believe Legion had that set available a year ago for a little over $200. My advice is to get that poly stock from black horse arsenal and install poly ak hand guards. Make sure to use a credit card with black horse. Also try contacting alex at legionusa and ask if he has thi

  7. Forget the picture, I have your answer. Traditional handguards can be fit to work. Buy a cheap surplus set from anyone and make room for the barrel by removing material from the inside of the handguard. Or a better option would be to purchase an RPK handguard. Not sure where all this SVD talk came from but it sure lead to mass confusion...
  8. I am sorta confused. Are you talking about ironwoods's sporter handguard or their ak traditional handguards? Also post a pick of the underside of your gas block or just tell me if there is tapped hole.
  9. The retainers are the achilles heal to your quest. Shit you not it has been done before the Iz-447 was ever imported. Do a quick google search and contact saiga tech usa. He was one of the first and your best lead. In all honesty you are asking a lot by turning your Iz-443 into an Iz-447. The easiest and possibly the cheapest might be to sell your current build and hunt down a 447. If you can't find his contact info send me a pm. I have it buried somewhere... Edited: Alex at Russiansurplus.net has the svd wood handguard available. By no means am I endorsing your decision. It w
  10. As you already know, any svd handguard can be modified to fit this model. Essentially that's what it comes with from the factory, a modified SVD handguard.
  11. A buddy of mine raised two oscars in a similar setup. I never recall him mentioning it being a pain in the ass. 55 gallon tank should be good to go. I purchased a 45 gallon fish tank with all the trimmings off of Craigslist this summer. Whole setup cost $50. I resealed the tank and restocked it with the large goldfish that came with the tank. Thinking about giving them away and getting anglefish or silverdollars. It's more for the boys so they will get to decide.
  12. Most 030/040's sold by legionUSA came with factory 4 round magazine. No, you cannot get 5 rounds in this mag. Will your limiter work in these mags?
  13. So the kid wants a rug. Seems like there are a lot of people who have something to say about it but nobody has yet to answer his questions. Edited: Well I guess MT Predator did. Now how about we all just shut the hell up.
  14. If it was mine I would sit on it for a year and see where these sanctions go. It won't depreciate.
  15. Yes, it's a rare build. Especially since it's all factory. People have cloned the 12C but there aren't many that have what you have. Before the 030/040's and Veper's were imported it was this build that people wet their panties over. With that said the average person probably won't see the value so you may get looks if you go into your LGS and ask for a high price because you have a super rare gun. If you are looking to sell the place to go would be the collectors in the AK community. They lurk here and on other AK forums...
  16. Black Horse Arsenal had what you are looking for. Buyer beware! Do not put in a preorder with them. Only buy in stock items and use a credit card. Last year they had issues filling orders. I believe one of the partners had health issues. They are in the process of turning things around. This is all second hand information... Edited: As for ironwood or any wood for that matter I would not worry as the stock will mount up just fine. The hand guard will have to be modified but you already said your comfortable using sand paper. Take matterial off the inner hanguard and it will mount r
