Looking to maybe sell or trade my Saiga 12. First the bad news. I suck at painting so paint job isn't perfect but it isn't that bad either. I used KG gun kote and it matched up pretty well with the rest of the shotgun. I only painted the receiver nothing else was touched. Second The holes from the imported trigger group isn't plugged, I bought the plugs from Carolina shooters supply but they wouldn't fit so I never bothered drilling the holes out bigger to fit. I'm curious what this puc would do in my over gassed saiga 12, I wonder if it would smooth the action out any or possible make it shoot even harder. I'd planned to get one when I do my conversion but since I've found my gun runs alittle hot I'm kinda thinking it'd make it even hotter. Have you had any experience with the puc's in over gassed saigas?

I have one, be sure to lock tite the screws holding the rails on or atleast inspect them, was either the recoil or a drunk machinist stripped out the holes on my side rail on the mount. I'm 100% certain it wasn't me because I never removed the rail, and after about 200 rounds I noticed the flashlight I had attached was angled down so I took it off and one of the screws holding the rail fell off, turned out both screw holes where stripped and the threads on the screws where shot. what did you use for handguard retainers? I have an extra set of AK wood furniture that I wouldn't mind boring out and saving a few bucks when doing my conversion, just hadn't figured out what I'd do about the retainers.

So after reading your post I inspected the rear trunnion alittle closer and sure enough there is a perfect imprint of the rear of the bolt on the trunnion, is that normal with these?
