The paraffin will hold together more at higher temperatures and not shatter on impact. I believe it also has a bit higher temperature when melting and rather than splinter, it seems to be more pliable and mold-able. Sounds funny but, go to a plumbing supply store and look for one. If you can find one that fits, that will be cheaper in the long run. Post here in the WTS/WTT section and I am sure someone has one they will let go cheap. I threw mine away or I would just send it to you.

I would hate to be the assistant gunner on a 12g rig. Imagine having to hump ammo boxes of 12g back and forth to a bullet hose like that. Mine started doing that during dry fire exercise after the conversion. I had to finagle the bho and axis pin back in with a nail. Once I got everything back together again, I ordered the shepards crook rather than that damn pin contraption. Been smooth ever since no more fn around with it! Good luck man!
