OK Looking over that setup I can understand why it would fire 2-3 rounds. Seems that would be a spring issue, the hold down spring (lower outside receiver) putting more pressure than the magazine pushes up.
-
I really don't see why it could not be fitted.
-
I did come across one option that so far seems the most viable and cleanest.

Does anyone make a LRBHO? In the limited looking that I have done I have yet to see one. Figured I would ask here to see before I try a go at it. I was looking for something that was not a mag mod and hopefully some type of drop in item and not a hack up the receiver thing. Ed

The #1 reason to opt for the dinzag parts was so I can use the upper handguard, also to make it look fully like an ak47.
-
If you notice the ejection pattern in the video a few of the shells are ejecting lower than the others. I would have to guess here that there is a timing problem and they are hitting something. I would be looking at the shells for tattle tale marks.

Yes the retainer is from Dinzag. The guard shape is a U, while the retainer shape is more of a V which means the ends are flared out but I was able to bend them inwards yielding a much tighter fit on the guard, esp side to side motion. Also at the range I noticed the gas tube was not heating up but the barrel sure was. I was somewhat afraid the gas tube would be to hot to touch and I would be touching it with no guard in place but that was not the case at all. Here you can clearly see the areas that need to be aligned.

I am looking for a trigger guard that is not aluminum, something that actually matches the receiver. Any ideas?

Ok I figured I would give one more update on this project. I was able to fit the lower guard in place, I also used glassbedding on it for a perfect fit and had to do some changes to the retainer ring but she's tight and holds up good. A few mods to the BHO. I can easily enage that and force the bolt open during operation (Meaning push the BHO, squeeze the trigger and bolt will stay open) This is pre-bed and pre-changes to the retaining ring. Basically I just changed the profile to hold it to this grip. I intend to apply park after I change the rear sights. But for n

how about some photo's of things first before everyone goes off on tangents and tells you to do crap that does not need to be done?
-
er? so what is the difference in the factory vs JTE? dimension wise that is. You should be able to bend the spring as needed to do the same job.
-
exactly I am with you on that one. $400ish for a magazine is just wrong on so many levels it's not funny. If you managed to get past the sticker shock you will see they list it as workable in 80% of the saiga's on the market and they urge you to use their service to make things fit.

I'd be interested in reading that........thanks! Here. http://forum.saiga-1...y-new-saiga-12/ Yes Warranty? Seriously? Considering they are not properly cleaned up when they leave the manufacture and they need extensive work to make them run reliably I would have to say if you are concerned about warranty's then you should be buying something like remington, bernelli, etc. -

This looks almost like mine, I well documented the problems and how to fix it.
