  1. Has anyone else needed to polish the hole on the bolt carrier that the recoil rod and spring go into? I recently got another VEPR 12 from Classic and the action was really rough. One particular spot I noticed was the recoil spring rubbing hard on the side of the carrier. When you cycle the bolt back you could hear the spring making a grinding noise. The bolt cycles nice without the recoil spring installed. I went ahead and filed and sanded the hole where the spring goes into the carrier and this helped. I wanted to know if anyone else has had this issue. I was not sure how critical it
  2. AK Builder has Saiga 12 slotted choke holders for Winchokes, but the slots are not open like the DPH to look like a flash hider.
  3. I have this choke holder on my Saiga 12. It is solid. The cool thing is I had all the chokes already because I own the FN SLP.
  4. Where did you get the adapter from? I am trying to find a AR stock adapter for my side folder. I have not replaced one before, but I used to work on aircraft and have removed some tight pins. An air hammer or rivet gun with a punch adapter works great. Also, if you you can adapt a a ball joint press, this may be the answer too. I have pressed out tons of corroded and frozen pins. I have seen pictures of staked pins on the VEPR 12 side folders. My thought would be to press it out. Like I said, I have never done this job before, but I feel there are several tools that could make it easi
  5. Anyone own Converted 5.45 Saiga from RWC Group? I am curious on which parts are made in USA besides the trigger and pistol grip. I would would assume the stock and possibly the piston. It comes with a 30 round mag and it looks like it is foreign ( maybe Bulgarian or Polish). I was not sure if you could link sites on this forum. I have tried looking through the rules on what can be linked and what vendors can be mentioned, but I was unsuccessful.
  6. What is the best way to upload a video? I looked over the forum and could not find any good information on how to get a video onto the forum. I hand cycled the gun and got the same results. I took two different 5 round magazines and they cycled fine. The factory 8 had feed issues. What I noticed is that back side of the round falls down and the front goes up. When the back side of the round goes down, the bolt hold-open rides over the round and locks the bolt back.
  7. I am going to go out today or tomorrow and make a video. Hopefully the stupid Flip Video camera holds up.
  8. Cobra, I don't have an optic mounted on it, but thanks for the idea. Also, the mag seems to lock in the gun nicely with no wobble.
  9. Believe it or not it is the factory 8 round mag. I purchased them from Atlantic in February. I sent Atlantic and email today and they also said they never heard of issues with 8 round factory. It did this on two separate range trips. I also had issues with SGM 10 and 12 round mags. I diagnosed both had sticking magazine followers. I have to send them back to SGM. The 8 round factory followers seem smooth both in and out of the gun. I thought maybe it was a week mag spring. I also thought it may be the gun, but it does great with 5 rounder. I think i put around 100 rounds through the g
  10. Hello, Has anyone encountered feeding issues with VEPR 12 8 round factory magazines? My 5 round mags feed everything. It does not matter what type of ammo is used, it jams. I waited to long to contact Atlantic about this issue. Kind of screwed myself. To much going on lately. I did verify that the follower does not hang-up on the mag. Follower seems smooth when it is installed in magwell too.
