just got the magpul moe fixed stock. however it seems to come with an extra piece and a long screw. not sure what its for though.. weird..and no real videos helping to explain it.

How has it held up for you and how much did you have to grind to get it to fit snug? How durable has it been for you?

Decided to go Magpul. Hard to beat that kind of reputation.

yeah, I do like wood but it wont look right with an all poly rifle. if it helps I do have Bulgarian poly hand guards.

Im not big on lasers at all, and i do not have a tri rail on my forward hand guard I find them too bulky. My side mount seems pretty solid and has never slipped had to be adjusted once it was on. I also dont like having to move my hands around a lot just to use the flashlight. I will keep my eyes open for a forward mount for the light. Thanks guys.

I have a pretty generic side scope rail that has a secondary rail on it. I bought it at fleet farm so I don't know which one it is but it appears to be very very solid. I have mounted my flashlight on the side of it but I am afraid the light might give me splash back on the front sight post. I would like an alternative way to mount a flashlight to it or better yet a more solid flashlight mount. My hand guards do not give me the option to mount a light to them.

Just the fact that he hit a steel plate that size at a 1000 yards is a feat that none of us could do period. Its fucking amazing. I'd go .308. The extra bang for the buck is worth it and you can readily reload it. Having the option to shoot out to 600 plus is a welcome addition. Truly, you can't go wrong. The second choice is the 5.45. The ammo is plentiful and I actually just saw some hornady 5.45 for sale at a local store.

Here is my formula for pain. New guy to the unit shows up for the 20+ mile hump wearing brand new jungle boots. I carried the l smaw (roughly 12 pounds) two rockets (18 pounds each) my M16A2 with 180 rounds, and my M9 with 3 magazines. That was just the weapons. Light infantry we were not.
