  1. Amazing read that's fairly recent and posted because of intrest about the subject in another thread. Well worth the read. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2376475/German-soldiers-perfectly-preserved-trench-buried-alive-Allied-shell.html
  2. The Anti-Christ reveals himself? I for one welcome our new overlord. Or would it be underlord? Lol
  3. I used to live in Houston. Harris country is where slot of the sweet katrina refugees settled. Since then crime has skyrocketed. I used to work by a parking garage and a bank and one day the police came into my place of employment and started asking questions about a guy on a bike. Turns out a guy on a bike robbed the bank....parked his get away car on the top of the parking garage were I parked my car and just drove off. And the police showed up the day after the robbery. For a full day they were looking for a guy on bike carrying big bags of cash. Pretty clever if you ask me.
  4. I just bought some bustelo from walmart but havnt brewed any yet. Can this Pilon brew be found at Wally world as well? Or do I have a better chance of finding it at specialty stores?
  5. I don't see why not. Don't most people Just use a hammer and some punches to get the fsb pins out? You could most likely also use it to press rivets
  6. I'll have to look for that bustelo coffee next time I go to the store. How much more do i have to pay for the Cuban model to come with it?
  7. Ya I remember reading a few years ago that a WWI trench outpost that was in a bog or something of that nature when a huge artillery shell exploded and buried theoutpost perfectly preserving everything. Maybe even bodies....I can't recall at this point. I'll have to look more into it once I get home
  8. No experience with them. But I like the look of the black one...mainly the front of the mag well haha. Why not stick with the Draco?
  9. Pretty cool read. It's 2 pages long. I wonder what other amazing fossil discoveries await. http://www.cracked.com/article_20528_the-5-most-incredible-scenes-ever-preserved-by-fossils.html
  10. Has anybody tried Cuban expresso? Great stuff! I tried some for the first time this week and wow....that stuff wired me up like no other coffee, expresso or energy drink I've tried. Do they use special beans or something?
  11. I wonder if they chose to shoot the light through water on purpose. since light travels slower through water. Another fun fact is that light is made at the suns core and it takes it 10,000 years for it to make it's way to the surface and reach earth. So the light were seeing now is at least 10,000 years old. I would really like to see this technology used at the microscopic level or further
  12. Looks difficult to make a quick magazine change.... especially with gloves on.
  13. Its amazing to see light traveling more like a bullet rather than a wave as described in my old school books.
  14. Hope this isn't a repost. But always interesting. I still don't fully understand how we could possibly capture light moving. It seems like it would be physically impossible considering nothing can travel faster than light.....except expansion of space. They said that they used multiple cameras. So maybe they were timed just right as to not miss anything? Eta they explain how the did at the very beginning of the video, I guess I wasn't paying close enough attention to the details http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=0ef_1375648127
  15. Damn that's sexy. I was thinking of doing something similar but with plastic psl handguards.....until I saw what they sell for haha
  16. Serious question. Do you think the barrel life on a AK would be longer? If so why?
  17. Very interesting read on 10,000 round torture tests with American and Russian .223 ammo. http://www.luckygunner.com/labs/brass-vs-steel-cased-ammo/#erosion
  18. My source for the m78 was wiki....go figure. Anyway what about those answers? Haha. Eta...I stand corrected. Google m78 and the first result Is about the m76....I didn't catch It. But anyway..,.I've been trying to find answers to my questions for a good hour online and no results
  19. Alsoooo. What is the purpose of the extra long magazine release housing?
  20. I've seen milled receivers with this shape but never a stamped one until now.]I can't see how they could achieve this shape without it buckling. . Also. do you think an AK flat bending jig could be modified to achieve the m78s shape?
  21. Ya your right I shouldn't care what Internet commandos think. I left the AR world because unless you had the latest thing. Extended feed ramps, 1/7 twist barrel, flat top upper with a red-dot and co-witnessed sites, rounded locking lugs, chrome lined bolt carrier, pinged screws, Magpul everything, etc then you were just considered a amateur and not really serious about ARs haha. That's why I got into AKs. Because an AK is an AK and any other add on or extra feature is just a bonus. But sadly I still have a bit of the AR way of thinking ingrained in me haha
  22. I've Been on a mission to find a good looking folding stock for a saiga rifle. I've been eyeing the ace ultralight and the agp folding stock advertised on this site. The only problem is I can't find any pics of the agp stock or reviews. Anybody have any pics of the agp mounted on your saiga rifle? And how do you like the stock?
  23. Thanks for the replies. I figured it wasn't the Russian version of the acog. It doesn't even have a tubular body. The fiber optics on the top made me think a cross between an acog and eotech. Is there a Russian version of the meprolite? I really like that it doesn't use batteries.
