  2. OP, can you elaborate on why you had to trim the hammer to fit with the BHO lever? Did the hammer or BHO just not fit when you tried to situate them in the receiver before pushing the pin through? Here is my experience with the install, wondering if your problem was the same or not. I finally got around installing the AKT on my Saiga 7.62 last night and had a weird problem trying to get the hammer pin completely through to the other side. The pin went through the receiver and out the other end, but not far enough to fit the axis pin retaining plate on the grove of the pin. The weird part w
  3. So far I'm digging the Zhukov handguard. Since this was a converted Saiga, I had no retaining clip to remove/cut so installation was a breeze. The heat shield under the handguard first gets clamped onto the barrel, then you slip the handguard over that. There is absolutely no wiggle at all which I love. Feels great and goes with the rest of the look I was looking for. The only problem I have now is that I want to get another AK so I can leave that it's the traditional furniture.
  4. First post, first AK variant. Waiting for a lot of ammo to show up tomorrow, maybe I'll shoot it this weekend. I'm an AR guy so I'll probably keep this with iron sights only.
