  1. I have lots of the X series pouches, and a few of the RPK pouches. They can be found lots of places online. The RPK style is the long dark green one with the belt loops and padded bases.
  2. +1 on that. And considering how many 308 guns have been imported, those that do buy have to buy a bunch of them just for the manufacturer to break even.
  3. John is a bit high (but not much) on his mold pricing, but then again they are tooling up for making several thousand mags. This is not the regular AK or AR market, it is less than half the size of the FAL market. Sales of the 308 guns comprise less 1/8th of the Saiga market over all. That aint much. Anyone ging into the hi-cap mag business needs to sell about 6 mags to every 308 that RAAC has brought in to even break even. (That figure is based on their own numbers) So why would a large company that does millions of dollars invest that kind of money into something that will not give a lar
  4. Romanian RPK pouches work for the 8rd mags, Spec Ops has pouches in the X series that works for the 5rd mags.
  5. You are probably going to run into problems with the spring. The 8rd spring is 6 coils longer than the 5rd spring.... You will probably not have enough tension to make it feed right. The 10rd mags are coming, as well as other things that we are not ready to talk about yet. I really do not understand why it is taking everyone so long to get the mags out.... In doing some very diligent research into manufacturing it does not take months to go from a proto-type that functions to molds, and production. It does take a good bit of money though...
  6. There is no metal in the 308 mag. When we bisected one for the internal measurements, it is plastic thru and thru. Why there is metal in the shotgun mag is a matter of some debate. In speaking with the Russian factory rep, they do it because it has always been done that way. But when they tooled up to do the mags for export to the US, they did not include it in the US export mags. And yet we have had no problems.. Metal is good for strength, but it is lots of money. If these were going to be used in real combat I would worry about it. But being the weekend warrior or even in competitio
  7. Metal lined makes the mag twice as much. You now have two molds, and then the construction of the mag. If they were to do 10-20 thousand mags, it would be worth it. But the 308 Saiga and Vepr market is less than half the size of the FAL market. It is just echonomics.
  8. Why? The factory mags do not have metal catches and we have not had any come back broken. Adding metal catches significantly increases the cost of your mold and the mag.
  9. I would not count on seeing them in serious quantity in the US.
  10. POF is a licensed manufacturer of H&K parts and weapons. If you look closely at the upper, it is called the P-416...... If you look at the marking on the receiver, they are H&K style markings..... If you tear them both down, their principles of operation are very similar. The upside to the POF gun (beside the fact that they actually make a product to sell to a consumer base that is there to buy it while H&K could not care about the civilian market) is that it has an adjustable gas system. Why is that important? Suppressors. H&K is not currently selling these to the mili
  11. Since it has a diopter drum site, you would need a set of tritium inserts for each apeture. That gets expensive. I have never seen one, that may be why, cost. Besides, it is a shotgun. At night with no illumination do you need a rear sight? It isn't like you are making a precision shot at range, it will most likely be an up-close and personal shot in your home. Front sight baby!
  12. There is lots of steel that will stop 50 cal. The range we are building will handle an M2. So these plates will stop 308, there is nothing magical about it. And for the knocking you over thing, where did you get that from? Physics says that it will not hit you with more energy than you feel in recoil. If you get shot with a handgun, it is not the bullet that makes you move, it is the body's reaction to the pain. Just like if I poke you with a pin, it is not the energy of the pin making you move, it is the body's reaction. Myth Busters destroyed this myth a long time ago with a slab of beef
  13. You send it to me and we the Tromix G3 style sights put on it.
  14. Actually, while I was in Afghanistan, we used Ak's a LOT. I carried an AKS-74U or MP-5SD most of teh time I was there. If I was riding in the back of a big truck, I was usually on an DShK with a slung MP-5SD and my partner had either a PKM or RPD. Of course we had out M4's in cases with our bug out bags. Why didn't we use the M4's? Because if we got hit with an IED and had to bail, or were pinned down we wanted the M4's with their max load because we knew they would do what we needed. And if we had to leave main guns behind I just had to remove them from inventory and not do a sworn statement
  15. I am glad MTK likes his weapon, but that is the same kind of arrogance that Alex Robinson shows with his guns. Sure they work, but look who they were desinged for. 13 yr old illiterate peasants to keep burried in their mud hut. Our weapons are more labor intensive and are desinged to preform well in the hands of trained professionals. If they are not holding up, I look to the user first and foremost. If he does not have the proper training it is the fault of their command. Period. I have 287 guys who trust their lives to the M4, and they like it just fine. All this mid length gas tubes fo
  16. Yes, get it in writing. That said, they have given different opinions to different people on the same issue contradicting themselves. And just because Joe got a letter does not mean Bob can use it as a defense in court. They have successfully beaten that one as well.
  17. WTH? Its metal dude, what does Columbine have to do with it? You guys didn't litent to Fear Factory growing up did you? Anyways, it fu@&ing rocks! Where do I buy, and can I download it directly to my ipod?
  18. Never say never , there may be a sample at ATF that has gotten the preliminary nod, you just never know. But they would be restricted to LEO's and dealers.
  19. We are back up and running. Please be patient with us as we sort thru the bugs in our page and get everything ironed out. I am a gun guy, not a computer guy. Anyway, the shopping cart is up and working for the most part, and now that we have Tromix conversions in stock we will change the product line to reflect that fact. There will be a Tromix converted gun in the list of products, and the conversion sku for those that already have the gun but need it tricked out. The NFA weapons will also be listed complete and individually. If you guys find anything that is busted or wrong (like the
  20. +1 If you got the 7.62 for use as a designated marksman rifle you got the wrong one. For a sniper rifle, it isn't even close. You can ingage man sized targets at 250m with no problem. Head shots, every once in a while. You really need to step up to the 308 round where you can dial in your round for better accuracy.
  21. Do not hold your breath. RA is on a cash up front basis with the Russians right now because he took more than 8 months to pay his last invoice. So far, according to the Russians, he has placed several orders, but has yet to send them any money. It appears that the internal rumors of all of the company and family assets are tied up in the XCR are actually quite true. As for the Vepr shotgun, as stated there is no way in hell that they will allow that thing into the country as is. We will have to do a ton of mods to it for it to be put back in that condition. Not to say we can do it, we all
  22. If you want all the guns shipped to one FFL, I just need that one. If you wanted them shipped all over, I need an FFL for every gun purchased and shipped to a new dealer. Shoot me an email, I may have your dealers FFL on file.

  24. They come off the truck from RAAC with one mag.
