  1. well there is a big differance in done once---and cant be done/wont work/resident expert gave up /etc isnt there? took all of about 1 hour from a dry start
  2. +1 to that :-) Damn, guys are making my head swell, Ive never been called an urban legend before, is that a good thing? LOL This one was converted 6 or 7 months ago when USAS mags could be bought on Gbroker for $15 and there was no 10 rd mag for the saiga in sight. With the ones due to arrive anytime and usas mags now bringing $50+ it would make no sense to do it again, but it has been done and it does work.
  3. I did get to actualy hold a shrike upper about a month ago, $7k, just a little off the $3k mark we all were told
  4. I worked out 2 solutions, neither one is simple or cheap, have only tried one, the first is a newly machined alum top portion that replicates the saiga mag , cut off the top of the usas mag and graft the two. The other which I have not tryed is to simply open the magwell of the saiga up to accept the wider upper portion of the usas mag and machine a catcg assembly that attaches to the trigger gaurd, looking for a donor saiga to chop on
  5. wouldnt it be legal to remove the choke if the bbl were pressed out of the rec first and then reinstalled after the new bbl extension was perm welded on?
  6. i read the comment about the norinco 45 and chicom m14 bieng top qaulity , I have one of each and neither one hold a candle to their counter parts from springfield armory, while both are decent there are huge diff in the norinco and springfield armory . On another subject where can I buy 9x53r ammo in qty?
  7. Like Tony mentioned just practice, hook the front of the mag and just rock it in place a few times, pay attention to whats going on and you,ll get the rythm in short order
  8. is the bbl threaded or pressed into rec?
  9. The US has used contractors/advisors/scouts/aids/guides since before the revolutionary war, so I guess we have been using hired guns since before we were a country, so to say its a sad day when we start using contractors isnt accurate. We have used them for our entire existance, other than a brief period in the late 80's early 90's when it wasnt PC. What I think is sad is when the contractors we hire run around cussing at everyone they see then get pissed off when they cant shoot a 10 year old kid for throwing a rock. Since they are the face of America as a whole in the country in which t
  10. my newer raa with the welded brake runs the cheap winchester your refering to just fine
  11. are you basing that on the pic or have you held one? buttstock is supposed to be steel with Polymer molded around it, based on the crappy plastic that comes on the gun your probably right
  12. wow you obviously missed my point entirely, I have worked as a PMC AND THOSE ASSHOLES RIDING AROUND SCREAMING FU to everybody they encounter looks bad on the US military, I was pointing out that they were contractors and were present there simply because of a paycheck and not in service of their country, honor or anything else other than a paycheck. I realize they may be americans and their lives and safety are just as important as anyone else, but unlike enlisted personel they can quit their engineering job and just go home. The sole reason I pointed out they were contractors and not militar
  13. here is a pic of the sidefolder saiga is making for the us market, anybody bought one or at least seen one in person yet?
  14. any idae on time to production z1500?
  15. here is a link to the sidewinder drum your refering to, about $100 for the adapter for your gun and $100 a pop for the drums . The mossberg is the only thing they currently make an adapter for but I have seen them fitted to an 870 listed on gbroker a while back and it sold for sub $500 , gun drum and all http://www.knoxx.com/NewStyleKnoxx/Products/SideWinder.htm Keep in mind this is bieng marketed for pump shotguns, not nearly as evil in some folks eyes as an autoloader
