Anyone who says its no big difference is being dishonest. While it is significantly higher recoil, it also packs more knockdown per round.

I think the OP is talking about talking about the Tapco Galil handgurd that has the Saiga retainer on it already, instead of buying the retainer from Dinzag. The retainer that comes with that handguard has an opening of .665", the OD of the barrel at the point where the retainer would go is .805". I don't see why the retainer cant be opened up to accept the larger barrel.
