  1. inparidel: Well, after taking that picture I realized that the cheekrest had come a little loose ...that's why the back of it is higher. So it's the standard ACE cheekrest, the only mod is that I replaced the original plastic attaching bolt and nut with steel ones. The cheekrest works great with the Kobra. It has perfect height - at least for me!
  2. ... And here it is... Btw, If someone could host two small video files (2,1 MB and 6,7 MB) you would see some "Saiga12 action"...
  3. I attached TDI Arms picatinny rail simply by drilling holes to the forearm for three bolts and nuts. I have a TDI vertical foregrip and it feels very solid. I don't know if the US (non-pistol-grip) Saiga 12 forearm is similar to the "european" version. Here's a simple picture of the rail installation.
  4. Näinköhän meille molemmille myytiin kakkoslaatua...
  5. Yes, the grip smells really bad! Cheekrest worked nice.... for the first 15 rounds (12/70 32g and 36g birdshots and one slug - with gas port position 2 . After that I noticed that the nut had been lost. I could't find it and just thougt that it had gotten loose. But actually the pin had broken! It's plastic so I guess it just didn't stand the recoil.... Gotta write email to Bob. But I'm still going to fix it with a metal bolt and nut.
  6. Could you give more info about the forearm? What you did with it?
  7. The stock is from ACE, http://www.aceltdusa.com (excellent service!) Price (stock, block, butt plate, cheekrest) total $119,95 + S&H. Grip is from Falcon Industries, http://www.ergogrips.net/ak.html Price $25 + S&H. ... and buffer from blackjack
  8. Here's my solution to the problem... Any good ideas how to install a vertical foregrip?
  9. Great info about the grips. Thanks. But what about the buttstock... The original - I'm not living in the US so I have the normal stock http://www.sksman.com/images/russianAKbuttmed.jpg - is too short and it's hard to attach buttplates (for less recoil). So has anyone tried any of those AK-stocks (K-var, sksman.com, ...etc..)? The skeleton version from ACE ( http://www.riflestocks.com/html/ace_ltd__p...products_1.html ) looks nice... does anyone know if they have right blocks to fit it to the Saiga? And if somebody knows a onlineshop in Europe for this Saiga/AK stuff - I'll be g
  10. ...ok...that was a stupid question - I'll try to refrase it.... (with my bad english The problem is that when I put the gas chamber blind plug back (turn it clockwise) should I screw it in all the way? Is that the "setting 1"? Or is "setting 1" some other position before the plug is fully screwed in?
  11. Hi, How can I be sure that I have assembled the gas port correctly after deassembly?
