  3. Here we go again... I would really like to make one...injection molded and everything. The last time a drum like that was made, Street Sweapers were classified as DD's. So basically, I would very concerned that the fed would make the Saiga-12 a DD and stop importation of them once something like that was available. That and you need serious demand to justify the tooling costs. Those saiga-12 10 round mags currently in testing cost lots of money to produce. 60,000.00 for the molds is probably just the initial down payment. $59.00 per magazine. about 15.00 in materi
  4. Actually, if you all want to know the truth it only requires 20 tons and a really good die design. You have to watch the radius on the edges and make sure clearance is left. Ian
  5. Now those are pretty cool. Does it have metal in the front lip like the bakelite mags? I bet not since it is a shell design. Yup I am gonna have to get one of those. Ian
  6. Here are the pics of one the blank. There will be two blanks included (a right and a left side). I will upload more pics later tonight after I get more blanks stamped. The curled edge of the blanks wont matter as you will have to remove that material. $20.00 for a set with a money order. $21.00 for a set with paypal. I will setup the paypal address tonight. I need to weigh one to get the shipping charges.
  7. Here are the pics you requested. Ian
  8. They should contact me directly via e-mail. imckay1@cox.net Ian
  9. Update: Ok, I got the blanks cutt, and I am pressing them out this weekend, lets see how many I can get done. I will post a link of where to buy so everything will be easy for everyone. I can process orders via online cc (which is paypal ) or I accept money orders. Money orders are perferred and those which use them will recieve $1.00 off the purchase price to cover the cost of the money order. No you will have to add the mag lips. Price is still not set in stone but it will be in the $20.00-$25.00 range per blank + shipping (I will use the flat usps rate shipping u
  10. OK great. I will get started on stamping them out this weekend. I am currently putting up a new website for ordering. It wont look great but it will do the job until I have time to invest in a cool design. Ian
  11. peep holes would not be a problem....I would need to relocate some of the spot welds. Give me a little bit to map out the shells and I will see what I can do. No price yet.....price will be posted when they are ready to ship. They will be competitive though. Ian
  12. We will offer them soon....subscribe to the mailing list...we post updates using that system. Thanks for your interest. Ian http://www.saigasolutions.com/
  13. The mags are long....there is no way to get everything (spring, follower, and rounds) in there without them being long. The best test to buy one and see how many you can cram in there. Ian http://www.saigasolutions.com/
  14. Oh crap...right right....lol Honestly...if they want to hack them up and use them for that....I have no problem. You buy it....its yours. I wouldnt do it just b/c of the price of the (round circular thing that holds shotgun shells) for only 10 rounds. Now if it were 20 rounds....I would have already made a tower. Thanks though. http://www.saigasolutions.com/

  16. Here is something for everyone. I weigh 185lbs. I will take this to work with me and put it in the 200 ton press and see how much it takes before she blows apart. Yes...that is a burn mark on my new shoes ....chips from the lathe melted the hell out of my shoe. Ian http://www.saigasolutions.com/
  17. Thanks for the complements. I will keep everyone posted when there is a significant update. I have been super busy as of late, so I will only be able to check in here and there. Hope everyone enjoys the pics, we will have that video soon (once I get a free weekend with the camera). Ian http://www.saigasolutions.com/
  18. Under spring tension with those little tabs you see at the bottom...just like the AR mags. This is our prototype mag, the production ones will be a little more refined and we are still working with different ideas (such as for the floor plate). It really comes down to what is easier to mass produce and still functions well.
  19. Here is a pic of the mag. Go here to see the rest - links are at the bottom of the page. http://www.saigasolutions.com/ Thanks Ian
  20. Sorry for the delayed response, I have been very busy. I will post some updated pics soon. I need to bring the prototypes home to photograph them. The picture posted is a magazine without the feed lips. They have to be added, as the mag body is smaller than the mag well of the gun. If you look at the feed lips on a typical AK mag you will see how ours are done. Additionally, both spines on the mag are reinforced with a strip of sheet metal spot welded in place. They are very strong and appear to take punishment well. I will post new pics soon, I am sorry for the delay howev
  21. Since I have not posted here in a while. Update: We tested our prototypes in Mississippi over the holiday season. They worked flawlessly, no jams, no spring issues, no mag wall clearance problems, and no feeding issues. We shot over 300 rounds of different manufacturers using the mags. Needless to say.... many fire ant mounds were destroyed. Admittedly my shoulder was black and blue as I use a German wire folding stock on my Saiga-12. We are currently working on production. We have several made already, but not enough to go around. This is a side project and thus I do not spe
