New trigger on new imports?

I was looking around on gunbroker today, and came across a closeup of the trigger on the new Saiga .308 imports . . . it looks to me like they fixed the issue of the trigger pulling up . . .

Huh, I thought the 308's were always like that. I noticed the new Saiga-9 has the same weird trigger as well.

 

...or were you referring to the popsickle stick?

I meant the "pulling up" issue (shown in the photo below).

Looks like the same old trigger to me. It looks like that gun is an EAA model that has been remarked as a RAA. I think a lot of the new guns have been done that way.

The trigger works remarkably well on the unconverted S.308's. A little polishing and good lube-smooth and clean. The angle feels better to me than the one on my stock S-12. I guess one man's meat is another's poison, but try it first-you may find it works better than it looks. It also works well with gloves when it is colder than hell!

It looks cheap compared to the 7.62x39 because it is a stamping, and yes it pulls upward more, but it is smooth, consistent and light, even with nothing done to it.

i had my gunsmith here in houston actually cut and change the shape of my trigger because i hated that ultra long and upward pull. dont have just any gunsmith try that though, he needs to have mad skills.
