Cavalry Arms 3 Gun Match 2006

Recommended Posts

Detach magazines are not considered speed loading devices at our match, you can use your Saiga in any class you wish, though the other accessories it has will effect classification.

OOOOOOHHHHHHHHYEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!

Props for doing this. Hope this will become a growing trend.

Bit further than I normally travel for matchs, but I'm looking at possible family "vacation" scenarios ...

That states "battle rifle cartridge" as 30cal...is a .223 not acceptable?

.223 is pefectly acceptable, it just has different requirements for the USPSA targets to be considered neutralized. The one hit neutralization zone is simply bigger with battle rifle cartridges.

Handgun and Intermediate Rifle Cartridges

1 Head Shot*

1 A Zone

2 Hits anywhere

If you're shooting a battle rifle cartrdige:

Battle Rifle Cartridges ( .308, .30-06, 7.62x54R, 8mm Mauser )

1 Head Shot*

1 A or C Zone

2 Hits anywhere

If you are shooting 12 gauge slugs one hit anywhere neutralizes.

Everything above the neck = head

Inner rectangle = A Zone

Trapezoid around the A Zone = C Zone

Now that is just too tempting. I have read about your matches! My wife is going to kill me.

Round count?

Number of Stages?

How close is the nearest lodging?

How close is the nearest strip club? :P

There will be 9-10 stages...2 of them will be night stages.

Round count will be determined by you and what you decide to engage the targets with...we will likely have 100 steel, 100 paper, and 75 clays. Estimated round count will be posted within a month of the match dates.

Nearest hotels in Waco are 20-30 minutes away.

I'm not sure that you'd want to go to the nearest strip club, last year the boys told me it was pretty horrible.

Yeah. The clubs here in central Texas....excluding the larger cities of course, have some rather fugly women in em.

I got a bit ill when I saw a 7 month pregnant gal stripping in Killeen, TX last week.:blink:

Tradeoff is that they do ALOT during lap dances for only 5 dollars...........

roll the dice.

Around here, 7.62x39 counts as major. The cutoff point is 122 gr rifle cartridge. As in real life, the only downside to 7.62x39 compared to 308 is the long range performance.

Yeah, I'm still giving Fred a hard time about the random draw prize thing. He found out that if you place SECOND you win a rifle...heh heh...

Unfortunately, this match ended up on the same weekend as the Texas State Limited, which means that the San Angelo crowd won't be there :(

Sure was fun the last two years, though...if you are fence-sitting, just send in your application already. Great match run by nice guys :D
