Griz 1
I picked up a Springfield Armory 9mm Tactical 2 years ago and was very impressed and remain impressed with the piece. However I purchased about 300 rounds of Ball ammo and after firing 50 or so rounds was told that the ball ammo isn't good for my 9mm. Is this true? Should I rely on lead slugs and HP for the 9mm? Any input/ words of wisdom would be appreciated.
ironhead7544 35
Theres nothing wrong with firing ball ammo. In fact its the only thing that will work in some older guns. It doesnt have a good rep when it comes to defensive use. The hollow points in +P or +P+ are best for that. If you have to use ball ammo for self defense then shoot to hit the spine, which is a good idea with any ammo. I use the cheap ball for practice and CorBon 115 grain HP for carry.
