Kymasabe 1
Bought the butt stock off one member, got the muzzle brake and bullet guide off another member, found the scope mount locally and scored the scope new/cheap on eBay. 7.62x39 with the 22" barrel and the brake....recoil is virtually non-existant. This is very quickly turning into my favorite gun.
Lifer 0
Looks nice! I currently have the guts ripped out of my 16" 7.62X39. I have the RSA trigger group and locking plate. Am waiting for Tapco and K-Var to deliver the goods and then I can re-assemble. Good Job! Lifer
hoop762 0
thats a great looking rifle my man! How is the eye alignment with that scope?? FYI...i have a few of the scope mounts that you have (lo rise) and they are awesome! One thing i do recomend is that you remove all the screws that hold it together one by one and reinstall them with some loctite. After a few thousand rounds, mine started to loosen up a bit. scoutjoe 276
my x39 is jealous (she's also sitting, stripped waiting for me to get time off from school so I can finish her) nice job on your conversion
Kymasabe 1
Hey Hoop, The scope is almost too high. I was all excited to find a Belarus-made scope mount but I wish it was about an inch or so lower. I also made the mistake of buying a compact scope and eye relief is only 3 inches. I can't quite get the scope far back enough and I have to slide my cheek forward a little for good view thru the scope. It's fine for now but I need to find a different mount and possibly longer scope.
